Throwaway Gangster Disguise is now disabled in Warmode

If you try to use it now, it just says the toy cannot be used in Warmode. How do you feel about this change? I am kinda mixed on this. Because on one hand the toy could be really fun. It was absolutely hilarious seeing a full raid group show up and the crate opening for the opposite faction. It was also kinda fun just wandering around friendly to everyone.

However the toy also was really easy to abuse. You could use it to sneak up on someone, escape combat then be unkillable for a while, not everyone was really fond of the idea that it allows someone to snipe a crate.

Personally didn’t really care that much about it. I found it more annoying some of these really OP world buffs that people were using and that the goblin rocket launcher basically allowed anyone to easily escape combat.

They need to disable a ton of toys in war mode.

It seems almost every week I’m finding a new thing that lets players out of combat, fly into the air, phase out of reality or become unattackable or heal to full in WM.

Druids are the worst in this regards. However the problem is that its kind of double edged sword. If you make it easy to escape its nice if you are about to be attacked by someone much higher ilevel then you, but… it also makes it so tough players can feel pointless to fight cause you know they will get away.

Did they fix the guard-baiters and the people constantly sitting on buildings outside of being able to be attacked by guards or naw

In my opinion thats more a skill issue. If your in Undermine I would steer clear of fighting in areas where guards are nearby or at least be aware of the risks. Or have a way to keep them from getting too close to the guards. Like on DK you can use death grip. Keep your distance. So that way if you see you aggroed guards you can just run before they get a chance to net you.

However it would be nice if they made it so you can at least trinket the nets.

The skill issue is people evading actual PvP to sit in areas unable to be attacked using consumables to get up there like the jetpacks and to avoid consequences of guards. They literally sit at the entrance of the place or right outside of the inn. That’s where they PvP. Skill issue is most of the people wpvping using exploits and methods like that because they can’t win fair fights.

Is there a toy that makes someone friendly for a bit that was or is useable in WarMode? I was attacking some ret paladin and before he could die, he became blue and healed up, then he went hostile, then almost killed him again and he went blue.

I am not sure if this is a bug, or whatever. It was during that World Quest where you collect honey from the spiders, kill spiders and then one head-honcho spider. The “bug”, if that is what it is, happened near the cave.

Thats only works because people fall for it and aren’t ready to run away quite if getting in range of guards. Areas with guards have always been dangerous to pick fights with players in. There are plenty of areas without guards even where it is unwise to pick a fight with someone. Like a shaman near a cliff in Karesh.

Sounds like he entered a safe zone. The area with the spiders has a safe zone near the cave for some weird reason.

Guards will literally bug out and chase you across the entirety of undermine, so no.

Where people attack, then run to the guards to avoid consequences for doing so?

I already know what kind of person you are.

Flat out not true. If you run away far enough they will stop chasing.

I already know what kind of person you are.

I don’t bait guards for starters. I actively avoid fighting in areas where they are because of what you described.

This is only relevant when dealing rogues and night elves. Since you cannot just attack someone then run to the guards without first leaving combat. And I think this is more so a vanish and shadowmeld issue then it is the guards. Because if the guard weren’t there they would just run away altogether.

I fight tons of immortal prevokers tho in WpvP who will use one of 3 ways to glitch out of combat when I’m on my unholy and exploit their low skill cieling

Okay. The second big thing. Never attack healers in world pvp and some tanks unless you have a very iron clad plan to deal with them or are being helped by others. For tanks it depends on the tank. Avoid Since they are borderline unkillable in a 1v1. A big part of world pvp is knowing who and where to pick fights with.

Though I personally wouldn’t mind seeing significantly healing reduction for 1v1 scenarios when vs healers and tanks. Their healing is designed for 3v3s, but that makes them practically unbeatable in a 1v1.

Flat out not true, I ran from one side to the other with gards on me.

I guess that’s fine to choose not to fight in undermine at all but I doubt you do so.

Incorrect, actually. Paladins, anyone using a jetpack and more. I wonder if you also play tank in wpvp

I haven’t seen this happen. If this actually did happen well. Just avoid fighting in areas with guards and this can be avoided.

What I usually do is fight around the outer circle of the town. Usually I find lots of people around scrap areas, near the car station, sometimes at the pvp area, the casino area, golf course, junkyard around that steamweedle zone with lots of green glowing lakes. I do a lot of world pvp out there so I know there is plenty of placed to fight people where there aren’t guards. Besides. Even if the guards weren’t there the entrance and near the hotel are probably the worst places to fight since you are likely to end up outnumbered. And people can just run into the portal.

The Jetpack itself though is something I do kinda take issue with. However as before this can simply be avoided by not attacking anyone in those areas.

Yes. This is my main wpvp character. On this character I always play tank because I don’t find it fun getting bursted and having half my health gone. Especially if I haven’t had a chance to react yet. Not to mention that paladins are so popular these days and they have multiple layers of immunity and hit super hard. As well as a full heal. Plus Undermine is filled with people who try to snipe you from a distance and then escape if their burst fails.

I mean we literally kill them

Then there’s a toy/zone passive that denies killing blow, makes them Immune and heal to fool,

Giving them time to use one of several ways to phase out of combat.

If there is, it should probably be disabled in warmode. Healers are already annoying as is to deal with.

Witnessed a player today, someone who regularly abuses Story Mode LFR queue in Undermine, do the same exact type of mechanics abuse in the Ringing Deeps FFA. They were bountied and about to die, dipped to about 30% HP, and poof. Just gone, abusing some other kind of queue system or whatever to dodge dying in WPVP.

If you ever run into ItachĂŻ in WPVP (Tich shards), do not expect a fair fight. He will cheat.

These types of players are still out there, finding ways around fighting fairly by abusing systems. That’s what Blizzard really needs to fix. Not some dumb toy that lets you snag a war crate.

Yea. Tbh world pvp tryhards that stack on every buff imaginable and always try to escape from combat if loosing are insufferable. It feels pointless to fight against someone that can just flee at any time.

The tryhard buff stacking is for sure frustrating, but players still having something to abuse to escape WPVP is truly annoying. I thought they fixed Follower Dungeon queues but there’s apparently still some kinds of ways to get out of mid-combat. The only one I’ve known is Story Mode LFR in Undermine, so idk how it’s still happening now, unless he’s queueing for Story Mode LFR in the middle of Ringing Deeps. Because I thought you could only queue from an NPC in Undermine, but idefk anymore. WPVP has been a clown fiesta for too long and Blizzard just does not care. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I just lost track of everything they can use.

yesterday saw a prevoker shoot into sky like the old Angelic Feather from Draenor, which is disabled outside of draenor normally.

And today a MM hunter had giant nitroboosts with a bunch of fire that moved 3 times faster than my own.

And any rogue can grief a capital city with the quest interactables.

It’s really pathetic, in a game climate of problem children and sociopaths.

Be fun to see War Mode make toys and consumables unusable.
