I’m on the part in the Nexus where Tarecgosa is under Arcane Bindings by a Icebound Sentinel. The Sentinel evades any attack from myself and Tarecgosa is bound. Have logged out and back in, have restarted the quest, nothing is working.

I actually just finished this quest. All I can say is take it slow, what I did was take off my weapons and punch the dude closest to the door, then once you gain his aggro walk towards the other one that’s stunning Tarecgosa. Walk around the second mob for a bit and you will also gain his aggro. Hope this helps!

I am also having this exact issue.
I can confirm that if you take your weapons off and punch the first dude then go over and start punching the second dude, you get both their aggro and can then use regular abilities to one-shot them and move on.
Best thing to do is leave the instance, RESET ALL INSTANCES, and go back in. She’ll be unstuck.

I found that it helped to go in naked, even on my squishy lock - if you kill the first Icebound Sentinel before aggroing the second one, that seems to set off the Evade bug - and in current gear, you so far outlevel the content that even a punch can take out the first guy.

Had the same problem today, still too powerful naked, so I lept forward and killed the Icebound Sentinel before she even runs off with it. then it wasnt there to evade in the first place

The fact this is still a bug after so long is a bit frustrating, especially when they just added a continuation quest which is causing more people to bother getting the staff.
I tried dropping the quest and retaking it but it didn’t do anything, thankfully Asoka mentioned the ‘reset all instances’ which at least got her unstuck even if it meant starting the run over. Best of luck to anyone else going after the staff.
And as Missa did, killing the Icebound Sentinel before it runs down the hallway is the best guarantee of it not getting bugged.

Why this hasn’t been upvoted a zillion times I don’t know.
Also, it seemed like the (earlier) ice block phase is now bugged. But, I was able to move my Warlock pet around with “Go To” to get the quest to un-freeze you. Basically move the pet around the platform to get the 3 dogs to spawn.
Still a bug. Had to reset instance when I tried the first time and then right before she freezes you, get to the near end where the buggy sentinel will spawn. This way you’re close enough to kill it before it gets to that point.

This is the only thing that worked for me, kill the sentinel before it runs off.
What a freaking nightmare it was to complete this bugged out quest…
