This is kinda disappointing. I know it says “imperfect copy” but I was still expecting something a little bit more interesting than just an uncontrollable auto-attack pet. =( NO abilities of the copied unit? Really? Saaaaad.
Very disappointing. I’m not sure how the math works for determining how much damage the copy does, but it seems low. It also doesn’t always attack, like if you kill the thing it copied and move onto the next battle, it may remain idle.
Most of the curios are disappointing tbh.
Combat: For tank brann, the pinged augment chip is really good for trash. The mechasaur is pretty good for all roles. Everything else is meh.
Utility: the overdrive pylon is pretty good for DPS specs with relatively long DPS cooldowns, on bosses. The pacifist rig is fun for everyone. Everything else is meh.
I was especially disappointed trying the kaja’cola. I naively assumed 2% crit was 2% crit. Like if you have 10% crit and get a crit cola, you’d have 12% crit. But no, it’s 2% more of your crit stat. So if you have 10% crit and get a crit cola, you now have 10.2% crit.
I’m sure some of the others have very situational uses, like if you can maintain the biofuel rocket gear at 10 stacks, it’d be great. But those situations seem few and far between.
I’ve looked at the pacifist rig but never actually used it because the tooltip doesn’t really explain what it does.
I also kinda like the footbomb one. I’m glad they didn’t make us have to aim the things.
Funny, that’s exactly the reason I did use it. It’s fun, but it’s a bit too random on when it gets called down. I’ve done half a delve to get only a single use sometimes, then other times I get them almost back-to-back.
Did that new spiral weave story with it. Matrix made two copies of the big robots you debuff with a ballistas. Damn things stayed with me the whole run😀. Add the mechasaurs to that and I had a mech army swarming the delve! Glorious!
What is this and how do you access it?
The novelty of it is it’s selling points in my opinion
Cuz several elites don’t really scale very well with it
I had a goblin who was barely a pixel tall, and I’ve also had a spider lord who didn’t shrink at all and made it very hard to see anything
I’ve been using this since week 1, mines now level 4/4, I’ve completed maybe 20 or more tier 11 delves, and I’ve never once seen it activate, and I always look out for it, the only things I ever see are the egg raptors. am I missing something or are they just invisible?
Mine procs constantly. Sometimes they are small and hard to see but sometimes they are huge.
Last week it was copying rares, underpin henchmen, scarab lords and other elite mobs. Add in the murder bots and you had a small army swarming everything in the delve. Objectively it was too much fun. Now it’s just small Branns and some sparkly dust. Objectively, some over correct happened!
I retired for the moment in favour of the peace rig. Nothin says fun like a flamethrower mech in the face!
The white version of the curio does about 11% of my dps over a delve.
But the bioprint tends to run off on its own and die a lot.
They’re very small, and sometimes go invisible for some reason. Look at your buff bar; you should have one buff for the bioprinter, and then another buff with the same icon for each of the bioprints.
I mostly just like it for the additional minions i have. They look cool and add a little bit of flavor! Turrents+Bioprint is my go-to combination for this season.
I gave it a try when it was level 1 while still collecting all the curios and wasn’t impressed. I’ll give it another shot once I’ve managed to find the upgrades for it.
I’m also a priest though, and I’m used to being able to just Dominate Mind whatever I want to have beating stuff up for me.
While playing a dps, Brann only exists to throw healing potions and mechasaurs. Other than that he may as well not even be there.
I really love when I’m tanking though and have him set to dps, and he throws those traps and I drag the mobs into the trap and the mobs don’t even lose 1% health from them. Good job Brann
Three Dimensional Bioprinter is a trap for certain specializations and classes. All that Bioprint I and Bioprint II do is auto-attack damage that apparently only scales with your attack stat. Not so bad for a windwalker monk, but as a priest? You may as well be wasting the Utility Curio slot.
Just what is the design intent here? I thought the curio system wasn’t supposed to punish you for making the “wrong” choice.
Semi-necro but I just wanted to confirm i’m not crazy. Using this curio on my brewmaster with healing Brann this thing absolutely slaps, combined with the mechasaur ez-build kit and my own DPS, t11 delves are a cake walk and generally only take several minutes.
Using the same set up on my Pres evoker with tank Brann… god it’s awful. The runs take forever, and healing Brann is a nightmare. I hope they balance these curios for healers to make runs a bit more tolerable.
Meanwhile on Underpin they dont really spawn at all.
It’s my Pet replacement when I do Petless as MM. It was a relief for Brann instead of throwing Misdirection to him. Brann kept whining when he was the receiver of all mobs’ blows. The Bioprinter copy solved Brann’s problem when I started throwing misdirection to it. GG.
You need to tap a crony when they’re below 40% hp.
