No matter what I do, I cannot get it to trigger at all during this fight. It seems like it’s bugged.
A thread in Gen. Discussion does seem to indicate a bit of a variance in output during that encounter, looks like perhaps a 75/25 split favoring excitement when the bombs bioprint.
You’ll want to find a post over in Bug Reports and add your voice to it for another datapoint should QA deem it appropriate to run an investigation into its proc rate.
Been a while since I did the underpin, but when I was attempting ?? runs, I found that the bioprinter would not trigger off the bomb damage (in the scenario the bomb decided not to do 50% health and 2 shot the mob, never bringing below 40% before killing it). You had to actually attack the cronies yourself to trigger the curio.
Yeah, I’ve tried that – even never using the bombs at all – doesn’t work

hitting them with one bomb and then DPSing them down seems to trigger the curio for me.

Just went into a delve to try it. I get the buff but no copy.
So it seems like it’s not limited to this fight, it’s bugged in general.
I thought it was bugged too., but the bioprints are just really tiny… except for like the big scarabs in some delves…
I have damage meters on. It’s actually working now on my Druid and shows up on the damage meters. But not on my Hunter.
