"Three Decades’ Worth of Fun"- pay now to receive rewards

To be fair, also, how many Blizzard games have you actually played in 30 years? I can honestly admit that I played none of them prior to World of Warcraft, and you know what? I got a FREE STATUE at 10 years. I didn’t even ask for it, and there it was, at my door. This, though, as people have stated over and over, replaces the original entry to Blizzcon and Virtual ticket and flips it so that the event is free, and the goodie bag is what they are using to recoup the costs of providing a free Blizzcon experience to everyone. You don’t have to play any Blizzard games, and you get it live. You complain nothing is free from Blizz, yet the entire event is free to everyone with an internet connection. You do have an internet connection, don’t you?

Overpriced items is what they are.

Please understand that Kotick’s private lunar space station will not pay itself. What is $40 to help a fellow man keep his dignity in front of his banker?

Why do you care about Blizzcon - a celebration of all their games - if you only play one?

Thanks for proving my point: they’re still items. And ones that have cost money for over a decade, because IT’S BLIZZCON SWAG. So I hope you’ve been crying every year that you had to pay for Blizzcon swag.

This is actually the opposite of greedy this year.
Usually they make you pay for access to the event, for whatever reason, which is insane to me.

Now, you are getting hundreds of dollars worth of stuff (based on what they normally sell stuff for) for much less.

I too only play wow, so I won’t be paying 40 dollars for a mount and a pet alone, but still, in no way is it Greedy.

This is what they do every year, except you usually have to buy it just to watch the show.

I think it’s twofold. First, to be fair to those in physical attendance, and second, to cover the costs of camera crews, TV personalities, and other “Live Coverage” costs.

Thanks for giving me an idea I am going to make a T-Shirt that says

iT’s bLiZzCoN sWaG

on it and sell it for $15.

If not wow, blizzard would have died ages ago. WOW is main source of income.

I was triggered when i saw “CELEBRATE 30 YEARS TOGETHER” - PAY NOW AND LET’S CELEBRATE.

That’s not celebration?

I just wish they had a WoW package, I only play WoW, I don’t want anything else, so I can’t justify spending money for other things I don’t play…

Don’t get me wrong package is good if you play the other games, but I don’t :frowning:

It amazes me at how desperate ( or dedicated?) some folk are for something like a ground mount.

I get it, its aesthetically pleasing.

I am more utilitarian, if its not categorically better than lets say a ground mount i can buy in game for gold, its not really worth it to me. But do what makes you happy.

grousing about it tho… shrugs

OMG I mention the new years OX and it comes out today

It struck me as tacky. Usually the anniversary minipets are given to everyone for free.

Blizzcon pets, mounts, in-game goodies, however, are not.

That can take part of the CEO 40 million to cover the costs.

They probably will not for this is Blizzcon goodies and I don’t believe they have ever made the Blizzcon goodies available afterwards.

Activision-Blizzard is not Blizzard Entertainment.

This stuffs basically what they would have given if there was going to be a Blizzcon virtual ticket for this year. But Blizzconline is free so I guess the prices got bumped on tiers?

I dunno. I like the bear maybe I’ll buy it.

Blizzard does something for years. Suddenly OP is upset. Maybe Blizzard should start selling a “be offended” subscription.
