I have seen this issue brought up a few times where in the Blizzard Settings tab of the Threatplates settings, I cannot get the vertical and horizontal overlapping settings to save at all upon reload for stacking nameplates.
I have seen previous threads mention the config files being in read only, but I have checked and mine are not. I’m not really sure where to go from there. I have tried disabling other addons as well and can’t get it to stick no matter what I do.
I have been troubleshooting this exact same issue since yesterday. My workaround was to use Advanced Interface Options and manually change the cvar values there. Make sure you have Enforce Settings on Startup checked also. As long as I don’t go into the Blizzard options in Threatplates then it keeps the values I set in the CVar. Hope this helps you out.
Thank you so much! I didn’t know this addon existed and I’ve been trying everything I can. Closest I got was running as admin saved the settings upon relaunch of the game, but then if I ever needed to reloadui or switch characters it still went back to the old settings.
This worked for me for everything the settings are now sticking. Thank you!
Advanced Interface Options is the name of the mod (Addon) you need. Once you have it then in game go to “Options” then click the “Addon” tab. You should then see AdvancedInterfaceOptions listed. Click on that and at the very top you will see “Enforce Settings on Startup.” Click the Plus sign next to Advanced Interface Options and you can use the CVar Browser in the drop-down menu to change the values of all the settings in the game, even those not listed in Blizzard’s default options.
