Threads of Fate - To be or not to be?

It has been a little while since Blizzard has announced that Shadowlands Threads of Fate would be removed from the game entirely. However, that is not entirely the case, as sometimes level 60 characters can get the Threads of Fate quest and skip the beginning of shadowlands.

The option has always been a good thing for people who have already gone through the entirety of the shadowlands questline, so the question is, why try to remove it in the first place?

Personally, I think there’s not a single problem with keeping it as an option for players that have previously completed the shadowlands storyline because, I’ll be honest, it’s a very lengthy kickstart until you actually have a modicum of player choice.

I’ve been having a lot of fun leveling a hunter for the first time and stepping out of my comfort zone of “I only play X class” and that’s when I ran into this.

For now, it seems that it’s a 50/50 if your level 60 character will or will not be able to do the skip. My hunter was not given the skip (at level 61) while my evoker was given the skip option the moment they stepped into Oribos, which is… Unfortunate.

Honestly, perhaps the best way to go about this if you’re running into the same problem so that it’s no longer this weird 50/50 and that we may have a choice of whether or not we want to do the fate skip, is to suggest in-game for Blizz to re-activate it as an option for everyone.
