Threads of fate shadowland skip is available to new dracthyr only?

According to the following blizzard support article (only 4 months old as of this post), the call of fate threads of fate quest is longer available. However I was just able to do it on a fresh level 60 dracthyr, picked covenant, got zereth mortis skip, everything. However it is unavailable for any of my alts, low or max level. How is that fair?

Here is the article stating its unavailable.

The Threads of Fate Campaign skip in Shadowlands is no longer available for leveling or max-level characters.

Any characters who have already chosen Threads of Fate prior to Dragonflight will be able to finish it. However, characters who never initiated Threads of Fate will be restricted only to the zone-by-zone Covenant campaign for Shadowlands.

If you already chose Threads of Fate, do not choose Chromie Time’s Shadowlands - Realms of Death. If you do switch to Realms of Death while Threads of Fate is active, you will retain most of the features of Threads of Fate, but you will lose access to World Quests until level 60.

I put in a ticket, and this is the response I got.

Greetings!
Thank you for contacting Blizzard’s customer support, I’m Game Master Igtenawcue, here at your service!
I can see you’re reaching out because you’re not being able to use the Threads of Fate skip. Let’s look into this!

After investigating your situation, I was able to see that the Threads of Fate Campaign skip in Shadowlands is no longer available for leveling or max-level characters.

So they literally quoted the article I mentioned to them in my ticket back to me, and closed the ticket, without answering my question why a fresh dracthyr had access to a removed questline. Guess I’m off to make a few more dracthyr before they fix this unfair crap. You can blame me when they do I guess, best get on it! lol

Well that’s just false. I’ve done the ToF skips on 3 characters so far in DF. A level 62 Dracthyr, a level 65 Hunter and just last night on a level 70 DK.

Yeah so what the heck? I have a lvl 70 hunter that got the call of fate quest to turn in but no threads of fate prompt. And my druid got skipped entirely. That’s why I put in a ticket. it seems bugged. And then I get this slap in the face.

One thing I did find is that if you go through that Oribos portal before you pick up the intro quests and complete them, it completely screws over the ToF system and you’re stuck having to do everything.

I am not sure, the skip is there for some of my characters and others it’s not. All my characters I try to do it on are 60+ so yeah, not sure what is up.

Isn’t that your answer?

The skip is available only at lvl 60 and above

That’s where I get confused because some comments on wowhead said you can go back and change your mind, but apparently not? lol it wont let me. I think I skipped ToF on the druid, but on the other hunter I didn’t, I even had one of the quests to talk to the npc but no follow up to finish accepting ToF.

That’s one thing I mentioned in my ticket:

This is an EXTREMELY nuanced, not user friendly, bit of knowledge. If people aren’t aware, and go past lvl 60 on alts, they wont be able to skip to the end of the SL campaign and will be forced to go through it entirely a second time, and that’s simply not right.

The skip is available above level 60.

You used to, but since DF, it seems to be all or nothing. Go through that portal without doing the intro quests or start the Bastion quests and you’re stuck.

Nah they literally quoted back to me the article I mentioned to them so no, I’m not accepting it as an answer. That was extremely lazy of them.

Honestly, I think it’s just one of those things that’s going to stay this way and I sure as heck won’t put in a bug report, otherwise they’ll just remove it. LOL

I meant like available once you hit 60

Yuh I know poor wording lol

Requirements ar 60+ and previous completion of the Shadowlands campaign on another Character :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Yeah I don’t know

You can change your mind if you chose to redo the storyline starting with Bastion. If you are below level 60 no choice, but when you reach level 60 the choice will pop up. If you don’t see it ooo up log off, and when you log back in the quest to choose your fate will pop up.

Doesnt work for me unfortunately. I’ve tried. Sigh

This is a borked thing that works if you do it one way but not another.
The Blizzard is a small company meme resonates strong lol

Ooh, sorry, my bad. I misunderstood. LOL

I tried this on an alt and it’s not an option.

That’s weird, I had it pop today on a level 60 character, when I went to change their transmog.

Did you try just talking to the guy that lets you choose? I don’t know if it will help.
