Threads of Fate feels super slow and boring

Wish I would have just stuck with the main campaign for my alt.

Confirmed, made me not want to level. lmao.

Honestly, I don’t feel like it’s slow.

Maybe it’s because I pick ToF and then I go do the side-questlines for the Sojourner of X achievements instead of doing dungeons or bonus objectives.

The exp awarded for it is also awful.

You should be getting 2-3 times as much exp from ToF than you currently are. I’m just going to level through campaign, then at level 59.5 switch to ToF and finish it out.

threads of fate is just endgame content basically without the anima grind, which would mean…endgame is boring! Oh crap!

like others have said, I bet its going to slowly increase the amount of xp you get per an activity as the expansion progresses they just don’t want you to level alts too quickly for some reason right now.

The solution is easy. I lime thread of fates. But it would be good having more options.

For ehat i say, make endgame aviable when you get 60, not when you end the campaign

It definitely keeps things more interesting if you do some of these, though that feels a lot slower than doing the bonus objectives.

I’m doing threads on all my alts with gathering profs.

Just want to add that you can’t to end game content without complete the Thread of fate campaign which require you to play at least one hour per zone of side quest WQ and bonus objective.

So it is also not as you can really chose what content you want to be.

If the zone activities granted a higher percentage towards the main quest then I think it would feel a little better. Also, bonus quests percentages are sluggish as well. Most of the time it’s ~1% per mob.

There are a few problems with Threads of fate.

  1. Low xp gains from quests.
  2. World quests are few and far between.
  3. Revendreth Rares do not count as rares and do not reward progression towards the quest zones. Meaning Revendreth completion is dependent soley on quests and dungeons.
  4. The rares that drop mounts are scaled to lvl 60 and do not count for progression towards zone quests.
  5. Campaign stuff and covenant features are locked to lvl 60, stuff like the mission table. It’s nice to get renown while questing but it’s only useful at 60.
  6. No flight master’s whistle or flying means you have to mount alot on ground mounts, some world quests are around lvl 60 mobs.
  7. Less overall quests choices are avaible meaning you will have to grind extra mobs, use herbing/mining for the extra xp, or do dungeons or instanced pvp to get the rest of the xp.
  8. It gets really repetitive to alts after the first threads of fate, I find myself doing the same extra quests because many of the quests are removed.
  9. They hotfixed some mobs to not reward skins anymore which provides less incentive to grind out certain mobs for skinners, as you can try to lvl with professions.
  10. You only have 4 dungeons to choose from while leveling >.>

With threads of fate, do the side quests to finish the help x covenant stuff, do optional area quests as well and you’ll level really fast

I did 51-60 in two days on my paladin through threads, in warmode.

Its now renown 6, ilvl 161 and counting. Only thing that doesn’t catch up is soul ash it seems.

The world quests that involve killing mobs take a lot longer that is for sure, but dungeons and completing the help x covenant give large amounts of exp, it is just a matter of preference honestly although threads could use a bit of work in some areas I suppose.

It’s not a coincidence that they created an alternative leveling option that is slower and more boring than redoing the on-rails quests players did the first time around, and once you’ve chosen it you can’t go back. It is an “irrevocable choice” which leads to “meaningful consequences”, both RPG elements from the roots of wow, ie from games people fled to play wow to get away from these mechanics they hated.

Devs love these things. /shrug

Tall to the lady in oribos that makes you pick a zone to aid. Travel there and get the aid the _______ quest. Do that for all the zones, then spam dungeons. WQ while in queue and turn in zone quests as you finish em fir massive exp.

I’m actually enjoying it. Im able to level where I want, what I want. Way better than picking a specific path like the main story IMO.

Most of the things you are complaining about are problems with leveling during the main campaign as well. It sounds like you have a problem with just leveling in general.

OP is saying the main story leveling is faster than TOF.

Good news! You can swap to threads of fate at 60 now, so you don’t even have to worry about doing it before you max. They hotfixed it.

Not really sure why people complain that you can’t get to 60 with just TOF. I’m almost lv 54 and haven’t finished my 2nd zone yet.

Just spamming dungeons isn’t what TOF is about.
