Threads of fate - Confused about some things

I read the entire article Blizz posted about it and one thing I’m confused about, is the whole “complete the different threads of fate campaign areas”

Does that mean if I choose threads of fate, I won’t be able to just dungeon spam – because I’ll still have to complete each area’s world quests and what not?

You can spam dungeons - as long as you spam the dungeon specific to the zone you’ve activated as far as i know.

I think threads of fate is bugged currently though. My wife and I went through the whole threads of fate campaign and only reached level 57. ANd it took a considerable amount of time.

You can access all four zones right off the bat in ToF. You’re not restricted to the one you joined.

Going through threads of fate right now on an alt with a friend and we hit 55 in our first zone, so that seems a bit strange.

But will I have to do the campaigns to max out each map area bar before I can progress any further @ level 60?

That definitely is strange. We are literally running around doing random world quests and side quests in all the zones at this point because the campaign is done.

Wow that’s alarming and scary. I wonder if it is bugged for different races? I have an alt ( this toon ) and it’s taken me over 4 days to get to level 58 doing the world quests and the side quests…

Were you using war mode? It would certainly speed things up.

yes I had war mode on the entire time

So my question is whether experience gain and level advancement rate is about the same doing ToF as it was for my first character that went through the campaign.

I definitely want to skip the linear slog my first character went through, but I don’t want to skip it if this means my alts, missing out on that XP, will each take much longer to hit 60.

I’m trying to wrap my brain around it taking 4 days to get to 58 with a 25% bonus… leveling in SL is whack.

It felt massively slower to me. I don’t really have any friends in game yet ( hoping to make some soon )
So I solo’d and played alone through the original campaign 50-60 and had that done in about 9 hours.
I did TOF on my alt, and like I said it’s been 4 days of playing for at least 5 hours a day and Im still only level 58. Running around by myself doing world quests and side quests.

If you want to Dungeon level, make sure you visit all 4 zones first to unlock the progress on the “Aid the Covenant” campaign.

I level up my dh to 54 in about 2 hours just spamming dungeons. You also get like 10% per run on the campaign bar, depending on what faction is the dungeon from.

It was around 9-10 runs to get to that level, pretty good in my opinion and definitely faster than my first character.

Got my healer from 51 to 56 today and i might hit 60 tonight. It’s about 25-30% xp per dungeon. I like it better than having to redo the campaign.

Yeah, I would definitely do it on all my tanks, if you have decent gear you can speed run all dungeons in about 15 min, 20 min for the long ones.

The point of threads of fate is to be able to do a mix of things so I can do questing in bastiom while queued for dungeons so I am always earning exp.

For my DPS i’ll just rotate the rested XP and do bonus quests while Dungeon queued. eventually get to 60.

I havent tried this system yet I’m hesistant of trying it since the comments and I really don’t want to deal with a really bad decision that I can’t change later.
Currently it’s suggested to level to 55 then do ToF.

Bruh I was almost 57 by the time I left bastion on the first play through.
