Thrash is Not Functioning Properly

Thrash is completely broken. I’m not sure what bosses will have this in the future, but this is absolutely not how this worked 15 years ago. This is clearly a botched implementation that passes some forced tests that do not account for situations that produce situations like this.

Our tank tonight was hit FIVE times by Firemaw at the same time.

Imagine Firemaw being able to randomly deal this kind of damage in Vanilla when it was a 4-5 minute fight. This would have been immediately changed, as Firemaw would have been near-unkillable at the time.

My guess here is that instead of just implementing Trash as the tool-tip says, it has some sort of stacking mechanic that does not expend its charges in some cases, and continuously stacks up to 5, making it behave more like Reckoning than Windfury.

I can’t wait til some boss that is significantly more challenging in AQ/Naxx has this mechanic and it turns into a random weekly death-touch when it goes off.

Watching the replay, it looks like he followed your OT following a wing buffet and proceeded to cast Shadowflame as he reached the OT. He then immediately started to travel back to your MT, all the while building thrash charges.

There was a 7 second gap between melee attacks.

Thats exactly what happened its working as it should

You don’t want Firemaw to spend time chasing not meleeing or this can happen.

Not related to bugs but interestingly enough your tank would’ve survived if you had demo shout up.

Those swings looked really high to me so I looked and our warrior tank dual wielding takes way less damage.

About 500 less per swing. 5/5 improved demo shout on a warrior is totally worth it.
