So far, Thrall hasn’t done anything more significant than exist. Please tell me he does something in the later zones.
He has to rehabilitate Anduin. That’s his role.
Thrall and Jaina apparently went to get tthe rest of the Horde and Alliance to make their way to Khaz Algar, so he, along with more of the Horde, will feature later in the expansion.
But you will not experience it before the game launches.
“Rally the Horde” = I’m going to be offscreen until it’s convenient to the plot.
Probably in an upcoming patch- there’s a rumored “Goblin Raid” that’s extremely likely to be Undermine itself.
Ain’t no way we’re going to Undermine and Horde isn’t involved.
Right now it’s mostly Alliance-centric, sure.
It’s the same thing that happened in MoP. First patch we go to the new place and meet the locals, then next patch Thrall will come with the Horde and Jaina will come with the Alliance.
Remember: Expansions are more than just the first patch.
Look, in short, this is an Alliance-only expansion.
What’s wrong with that? Warlords was a horde expansion.
The horde returns for the max level questline and yes they are pretty involved in it.
This questline does not appear to be live in early access.
Seems that way now. I do feel a bit weird about giving horde dwarves. At this point 2 ally races have been given to the horde.
Maybe in a horde centric expac alliance can get some trolls or something.
He will be off screen till main end game “rallying the horde” then be useless storywise until he b**** slaps the ptsd out of Anduin so he can fail to be better than the 12 year old girl
Even if the theme was certainly more Horde-centered, the cast of heroes was varied and had member from both sides.
We’ve never seen an expansion before in which the story is told from the perspective of one faction only.
Which two?
Dwarves and elves.
Elves? Elves have been on the Horde since 2007 though? And they’re not even the same Elves the Alliance had at the time.
Still ally races added to horde. Reciprocity would be appreciated.
Elves are not Alliance exclusive
Thrall is certainly a far cry from his Green Jesus days.
Hey, at least he’s doing something off screen at the moment. Better track record than Baine already
The expansion has not even properly launched, Wait a bit to say its Alliance centric… Today I saw Blood Elves and High Elves fighting together against Nerubians. I always like to see that.
Summary
Aethas appeared a bit as well as Marin. But a bit. Jaina left with Thrall, Alleria also left, so…
I mean, you’re correct, but do you recall any time before in which the story was this one-sided? I don’t, personally.
Even when we had stories that were more Horde or more Alliance themed, we always had a cast of heroes that was mostly split. There have aways been an effort from Blizzard to include both factions in the story.
That effort seems to be gone now. Apart from very short cameos, it’s all Alliance.
I’d go as far as to say that playing a Horde character makes absolutely no sense right now. The story is clearly intended to be played using an Alliance character. Playing it as a Horde character feels completely out of place.
