Are they (the elements) still po’ed at Thrall for cheating Garrosh in Mak’gora?
You think he’ll be straight up melee for the rest of his WoW career?

It’s ok either way. Thrall’s buff enough to make a great warrior.
And if he rolls prot, it’ll be Aggro in the streets, and Aggra in the sheets.
The elements weren’t pissed off at Thrall for cheating. They were just tired of him always showing up and stealing the spotlight, so they decided to go do something else for awhile.
They weren’t angry that he cheated, it was more that he was angry at himself. Thrall had a lot of internal conflicts and doubts over himself and everything that happened in recent years. Garrosh’s execution was the final straw. It wasn’t justice, it was just vengeance on his part.
His abilities dropped alongside his resolve. The elements and the Doomhammer wouldn’t respond to someone so divided like that.
And he still seems to be that way too going by his conversation with Jaina. So we’ll have to see how he develops from here. If he regains his confidence his powers will likely come back.
I think its not that the Elements were mad. Thrall is second guessing himself now and the elements dont answer him cause hes not sure what hes doing is right.
This was never a thing. And it’s been proven time and time again he didn’t cheat.
I laughed a little too much at this lol.
…how did he not cheat? Blatantly went against the rules of Mak’gora. I think Thrall kinda deserved to be taken down a peg after that.
No he didn’t.
The rules of a Mak’gora seem to be different between each Mak’gora, since they are chosen and set by the participants themselves. Generally, there are thus no specific rules.
A popular misconception among the fanbase is that Thrall cheated in his final mak’gora against Garrosh when he used elemental magic. However, there has never been any rule forbidding the use of magic and spells. Moreover, there is precedent for the use of magic in mak’gora, as both Shagara and Ashra made extensive use of it during their mak’gora. Thrall had also already used magic in the first mak’gora between him and Garrosh, by throwing lightning bolts.
While what you’re saying is true, it’s quite obvious that Thrall did cheat. If Thrall could’ve ended Garrosh’s life as quickly as he did, then he would’ve. Also, a fighter is usually only allowed one weapon. Garrosh had his axe, but Thrall had the elements AND Doomhammer.
While it’s never explicitly said that he did cheat, the general opinion seems to lean towards that he did.
Very nice.
Oh snap, here we go again! Because this topic hasn’t been done enough. There really isn’t a horse left to kick Goregroth.
Thrall didn’t cheat. Just let go.
Is not fact. That’s why it’s stated:
A popular misconception among the fanbase
Please acknowledge the rest of my post. Also, it seems like Blizzard also shares the opinion of the player base in regards to what happened with Thrall.
How does Blizzard share this when they’re the ones who are saying otherwise?
Blizzard does not own Wowpedia
And yet you seem to have no proof to the contrary of all lore listed and referenced for Mak’gora.
I never said any of what you listed was wrong. I’m just saying that since NOBODY knows the rules of what happened in that Mak’gora, we should instead pick apart the cinematic to make an educated guess on what really happened. Based off of what I can tell, Thrall did in fact cheat.
They were never po’ed at Thrall for “cheating” at mak’gora.
First, he did not cheat.
Second, the elements don’t care about orcish leadership rites.
Even the elements forgot that Thrall was a character…no but seriously, nobody cares.
