Thrall is the gold standard of lore

Do not forsake him. He is amazing. I look up to him. If you want to write a character. Give them the attention and level of detail as thrall and you’ll probably be fine.

He is a traitor and coward to his family in the Horde.

He will find redemption only in death.

I don’t agree with everything he’s done. Or even how he conducts himself now in regards to the alliance. However. It shows he has the strength to overcome obstacles that I can not.

Thralls only mistake was making garrosh war chief and taking a more passive role for a long time

There are so many versions of him in game I feel like I’m waiting for the real slim shady to please stand up.

Garrosh did nothing wrong. Thrall on the other hand? Well look at who he put in charge to go play green Jesus.

I was never so deeply engrossed in the lore of the game than during Cataclysm. There was so much good writing featuring Thrall (and Varian, but it never made it into the game) that I bought every book, read every blog post, and basically became obsessed.

Thrall type characters are my least favourite Horde characters.

I don’t play Horde for the honour and peaceful farming he’s obsessed.

Thrall died after legion. BFA and SL thrall is trash as every other character

Thrall was great up until he left the Horde. Then his writing became less consistent than Blizzard’s content release schedule.

Nah man. Arthas is the gold standard for lore. His story is (relatively) “short and sweet”. It’s the pinnacle of lore writing.
