I have come across an annoying problem in Dalaran. As I have a major issue with completion, I never began the Legion expansion when I reached 100 and am just now getting into it since I finished up Draenor (not completely though, just got bored with it). I already had the Legion Returns quest which I couldn’t complete because Recruiter Lee doesn’t feel like showing up, but found that this is a regular thing and you don’t need him anyhow. So I used the portal in Stormwind to get to Dalaran to go from there.
Now I run into the issue. The whispering wind that’s supposed to take an Enhancement Shaman to Thrall shows up, but then he just sits there. If I go to find Thrall, he calls me over but then does nothing when I click on him. No quest marker or anything. I searched online and couldn’t find anything beyond restarting WoW and hoping it’s fixed (which it ain’t).
Now I know that the artifacts don’t continue into BfA, so I’m not seeing this as a game breaking issue if for some reason I can’t get my artifact weapon anymore because I leveled up to 110. I haven’t purchased BfA yet so I haven’t progressed any past that point, though I have received the quest that I assume starts the new expansion. So, if I can’t get my artifact because I am technically past Legion levels, I’d appreciate some confirmation and I’ll just plug along as I can with what I got.
But if there is some way to begin the artifact weapon quest line that I can’t find, please let me know. Thanks for any responses in advance.
I have this exact issue… I REALLY want to be free of Thrall calling for me, and I’d like to be able to finish the quest “A Gift From The Six” at least… anyone got an idea how to get this thing done?
Thrall is probably working on the next shaman tank spec, the Earth Warden

Thrall doesnt talk because he is busy competing with Sourfang for Azeroth’s Sulkiest Orc.

Much more important they fix some glaring issues with current specs before adding a 4th.

The only spec not up to par is enhance, and there have been some great utility added to them at the beginning of the xpac. Earth ele, tremor totem, a 12 sec interrupt lol
This is not an arguement to stifle creativity and innovation. I wont entertain it any longer.
Did this ever get a fix as I’m struggling with this now

Doubt it sir. There’s another one where in the underwater area a jumbo thrall hangs out with you and you see a vision that’s broken for years too. I don’t think any intention of fixing older game stuff is a priority.

I just came across this on my horde alt. I want to hang out in the maelstrom with my orc!
Don’t mean to necro this post, but for some reason I get pointed to Thrall, but he never offers me the 1st artifact quest. Because he never does, I can’t get to my Order Hall which help unlock the Nomi Quest chain I am stuck on in another post. Does anyone have anything that can possibly help me out? I am trying to do as much of the content the game has to offer but am stuck not being able to advance two separate areas in Legion.

Are you trying to do this with Chrome Time enabled, or in Normal Time?

I got it done finally, but had to find the starter quest for that expansion and then proceed to the point it would send me to do my artifact weapon quest and it opened up the order hall. I was then able to do the Nomi cooking quests.
