Thrall Cheated

Are you talking about the Warcraft Movie? I ask because it’s not canon to the main Warcraft universe, at all. It’s not even a different time line. It’s an entirely different universe that is thankfully, being put out to pasture to die.

Then why did you say that it a Mak’gora because there weren’t witnesses?

Right there, your entire argument just died.

Shall we bury it? You can throw it in the troll up there’s hole.

Mak’gora also says both opponents must strip down into a loincloth and have their weapons blessed by their clans shaman.

That didn’t happen, although I wouldn’t mind if it did.

How? Obviously, based off of what Thrall said afterwards, he did break the rules.

This rule was either:

  1. No use of magic
  2. One weapon only

Don’t make me get the fire hose.

Those were the rules for Garrosh and Cairne’s. Not Thrall and Garrosh’s.

Because there are 2 camps.

The Strict Rule Camp.

The Rules Are Made Up For Each Fight Camp.

So I was playing along with the Strict Rule Camp. Even though I fall in the Rules Are Made Up For Each Fight Camp.

So my view point is either they both cheated, and it really wasnt a makgora. Or Thrall didn’t cheat at all.

Every makgora we have seen all seem to have their own unique rules.

Every single time a magic user has been challenged to Mak’gora, they used magic.

It’s really just like trying to scream at a wall, here.

Probably because writers make it up on the spot and don’t really think about it too much.

I swear, someone at Blizzard loved Mandalorians from Star Wars and said “Hey, we should make Orcs like that.” Because lets be honest, before WC3, there was no reference or hint that Orcs were an honorable race, they were just ugly green dudes.

Thrall cheated as he admitted he went against the rules.

Citation needed. Nothing quoted so far has Thrall saying he admitted he went against the rules.

How many times do we have to say “no he didn’t” because you lack reading comprehension?

I suppose at most, you can say Thrall feels guilty over creative use of game mechanics. But he didn’t cheat as per any rules laid out before hand.

Trying to play devils advocate here.

The Elementals are all hanging in their Elemental House. Talking about the intricate flexible rule system of orcish dueling rites. And if they constitute helping orc shaman.

Here, JK Rowling did weigh in on it:

My gosh, so many wrong opinions!

pokes fire

Thrall is extremely conflicted because he killed his best friend’s son, who happened to be someone he is at least partially responsible for putting them in that position.

He did not cheat at all, but that weighs down on him heavily, and the inner turmoil is why the doomhammer doesn’t work as well for him anymore.

The elements don’t care, he can still do the element thing really well, but the Doomhammer has a history with causes and such. Thrall didn’t believe in his cause anymore due that whole “Killed my adopted nephew” thing, so the doomhammer became worthless.

Debates like this are why I wish more time was given to these moments to flesh them out, so that the people who actually read don’t have to explain this to people who just make things up.

You realize I’m in the Thrall didn’t cheat camp, right? I did say devils advocate for a reason. I know all of that.
