Im still here so the class is superbly represented. 
However I will say that until Survival is returned to its former fun spec I continue to play a 2 spec class.

i wouldn’t be surprised tbh lots of people in general play hunters be it their main or alts or w.e. i have my own hunter i don’t play it for a long time now.
Holy crap he didn’t mention his raid progress in another one of his “buff hunters” posts…

Raid progress is dead in the water at 9/10m as we only have 1 Boomkin and too many hunters moving into M Sylv which makes a kill impossible at the moment.

im still here and its my main and im still having fun (well, as a much as a pugger dps can, lol)
i think the main reason hunters are quitting caz the bis wep and back both from from syl and her fight is a bit long and boring. if you try and pug that on h or m then your ganna have a bad time, be it not being able to get in caz you dont have your bis gear (that your trying to get) or when you do get in the raid fails to kill syl
i got close a few times, normally up to the 3ed platform on p3 (caz p1 and p2 are cakewalks now) but never a kill (ironically the first n syl kill i did i got the bow)

This is the second time people use this phrase this month, which I might add is also riddling Reddit and other social media.
Where are these thousands of hunters ?
I am sure by the state of wow now, if thousands of hunters have left, a hunter would be a rare sight to see, given that the population in WoW is so scarce. 
Is this a case of hunters are objectively dramatically worse than everyone? Or just minorly below and not that big of a difference, but people overreact because a meta list can’t be defied? Also thousands based on what?
So many questions! Frankly it sounds like a skill issue

Stopped playing cuz they’ve gotten CE 3 months ago by simply casting Starfall on cool-down ? Yeah …
If I played Boomkin I’d have stopped as well
we’re progging with only one boomkin with 3 hunters…
you have no excuse.
That’s why you are still progging at this stage of the tier.

Arguable.
Raid boss guides explicitly mention that you would want a Boomkin minimum for Sylvanas fight.
You can down her with one.
Two will be much easier.
Three Boomkin is guaranteed kill
