I came up with this spec for massive ambush/backstabs and was curious if its viable. After looking at some of the other specs out there, I just don’t really like them and think this one would be fantastic. There is literally 0 wasted talents; all are tremendously useful. Maybe I’m missing something though… let me know your thoughts!
I wouldn’t use it for pve but for pvp it’s okay. Personally I run 21/8/22 and grab cold blood/hemo. Use a wep swap macro for hemo/ghostly. Lethality is always nice.
This is more PvP though I don’t get much from it for PvE.
I’m trying to maximize this for PvP. Since we get dual spec now, I will have a whole separate build for PvE. I’ve used the weapon swap macros for other builds before and that is a good point if I wanted to run HEMO. But I don’t really want to have to buy/farm multiple weapons as I level for a minimial gain. The goal is to be 2 shot killing people. I’f I’m able to do that, I wont need HEMO
Only time HEMO would be super useful is when fighting plate/mail. Appreciate your input though!
So realistically, I wouldn’t recommend daggers with this setup. Also because there’s like… 3 rogues that play daggers well enough to benefit anyway
But this is very close to what we call “Toolbox Rogue”
Rough tree is 11/17/23
Picking up Malice, Ruthlessness, Murder, and Relentless Strikes in Assa,
Imp Gouge, Riposte, Imp Sprint and Imp Kick in Combat,
And then far enough in Sub for Hemo and Prep
Playstyle is primarily around the utility you can provide to your team in bg’s (disarms, silences, stuns, constant pressure with sprint root breaks, flag carrying capabilities etc)
There’s some points you can shift around, like dropping points out of Assa to squeeze Dirty Deeds in Sub, dropping points out of Endurance to take Precision if your hit is a little dicey etc.
You could also reasonably drop Imp Kick, Endurance, and Riposte (and thus the accompying Parry points) to free up points for a dagger setup (maybe like 7/14/30? 7/14/25 with 5 leftover if you want the stealth talent or something else?) but I just don’t think it’s worth.

Anyone else have any thoughts? Having too much fun with ambush to not spec daggers.
Looks awful.
You need dirty deeds and relentless strikes or you won’t have enough energy to stun lock.
You can’t ambush people who have high armor you won’t do any damage. And if you can’t stun lock them you probably lose.
I guess I should have specified that I am only using this until I hit 60. I usually avoid warriors if possible, but everything else is getting 1-shot or close to it with gut ripper atm, which is why I’m having so much fun. What spec would you recommend at 60?
Daggers are hard to play in PVP unless you have T1 with the extra energy set bonus. You can’t stun lock easily. You have to gouge.
Should go hemo. It’s way easier and chill.
the man wants to play with daggers
leave him alone
That is a common Warsong EFC slayer spec; quite a few rogues play that.
It has one trade off, this is you’re at disadvantage in rogue v rogue in a duel assuming you’re both the same skill level.
As long as you’re aware of each rogue build offers positives and negatives, you can use consumables to cover the shorts, such as using tea to accommodate the energy demands, and later on ZG trinket.
