Thoughts on the New Tier Set Chestpiece having a "Noose"?

I’m talking about the rope neckpiece on the new set for Undermine that looks more like a hangman’s noose or some sort of lasso. Seems to me like it’s purpose was to hold the helmet on which makes it look really out of place when Helmet is invisible. Feels like a string of beads would of been better, or that the rope piece should of been removed entirely if they couldn’t add it to the helmet properly (despite Wrath’s Ulduar Priest set having no such issues…).

Do you guys feel like it should of been a part of the headpiece or is it fine where it is? You guys think it should have variants (like Mages get all the time), or that the Dragon Tattoo should be a “shirt” Monks can buy for the sake of Transmog.

Asking all of this because most people I’ve spoke to on the RP Servers seem to feel like Blizzard inadvertently screwed up an otherwise neat transmog option by adding a part of the helmet to the chestpiece, or what one person called ‘a monkey paw development decision’.

For one thing, it’s not remotely a hangman’s noose. It’s more like a bolo tie than anything else. It’s also part of the chest piece, not the helmet, so I suspect that they have to have something there to delineate the top of the chest piece.

As for the appearance - I like it. Overall, I think it’s one of our more interesting sets, and I’m glad that the necklace isn’t made of beads. I realize that monk designs tend to borrow heavily from shaolin aesthetics, in addition to Asian influences (which I have no issues with), but I’m glad it’s not just more beads. We have plenty of other items that have beads, but outside of the tier sets, I’ve never seen any indication that WoW monks use prayer beads in any way.
