Thoughts on Overcharged Delves

It’s fine. Kind of Meh, really. It’s not much of a challenge. It is annoying that it’s always tied to Bountiful Delves which makes Tier 11 farming needlessly more difficult. That honestly feels like it’s one of those “Devs don’t play the game or playtest anymore so they only respond to people asking for harder challenges” kind of things.

Like how despite Mythic existing Flex raiding is treated like a “challenge barometer” instead of a feature meant to help struggling groups who can organize a larger group, not punish them for it.

It just seems like the feature(Overcharged Delves) would work better as a separate mode or 12+ kind of content. As is it gives no reward on it’s own so it’s just extra work for something I’m going to do anyway, which makes it more annoying than refreshing. The whole Titan Belt system for the Overcharged Delves might be usable all the time, but if the only times I want to run a Delve when it’s Bountiful and it’s Overcharged anyway it just becomes a hassle. Maybe just a little extra loot or something in the Nemesis chest since I’m clearing 2-3x as many Elites and a second Rare?

And it doesn’t help that Tank Brann is bugging out all the time. More mobs should mean more chances for him to proc an Egg, but it just does not happen anymore. You cannot leave combat, he’s constantly pulling pack after pack because the new mobs are squished into areas between old packs where you could breathe and heal before or he’s picked up aggro from something imaginary that holds it the entire Delve so you can’t loot.

have you not looked at the upgrade tree? you get 2 damage procs, 15% primary and stam, 45% dmg increase, 30% reduced dmg and speed… idk how you figure these are going to be harder than normal bountiful. get some points in the tree.

I maxed mine by grinding Sidestreet, and the difference on T11 is noticable. I’m clearing them faster than ever.

OP has no idea ehat they are talking about.

This.

I don’t think I’ll ever bother with a non-Overcharged T11 again. The extra mobs don’t increase difficulty more than the additional power, survivability, and utility decrease difficulty.

The brokenness of the perks makes me wonder if they’re going to reset the console for s3 and require the 1700 discs to be ground out again.

It’s only on two Bountiful Delves, so, unless you have restricted time, you can avoid them altogether.
Personally, I enjoy them, though once I’ve maxed out the Delve talent tree, I’m not sure if I’ll go out of my way to run them.

The increased power is great, but on the other hand:
Overcharged devles- you were going to pull everything anyway, right?

I said that it’s annoying, not that it’s hard. I had a routine going and this shook it up for no reason and introduced bugs that actually DO hinder me running the content like the permanent “In combat” issue preventing me from looting mislaid curiosities.

My first few runs before getting many upgrades were slow, but by the time I’d gotten enough of my toons through that I’d upgraded most of the tree they were a lot easier- except for the fact that it’s just much, much harder to pull (and not pull) what you want due to the shock towers aggroing from really far away.

If I pick attacks with no chance of AoE proc, I can pick off zappy sticks and zappy crystals with no meaningful risk of aggroing mobs.

For zappers that seem to aggro me when I don’t have line of sight (lookin’ at you, Sidestreet Sluice), I just avoid hanging around that area. Combat will drop as soon as they can’t zap you anymore.

I just find the sound effect of the lighning pools to be very grating. As in, once i get the upgrade on all my toons to 701 I will not be running them ever.
