Cross-Realm for Battlegrounds, Arenas, and Dungeon/Raid content makes sense to me as it opens the door for easier times making groups. However, I feel like cross-realm open world is an absolute blow to people try to collect on rare farms. You aren’t just competing with people in your realm for a NPC that might only spawn every 1-12 hours, but every single realm? It just seems very absurd in my eyes. What’s all of your thoughts on that?
I farm mounts while in solo queue this means ive a absurd amounts of time camping and hunting rares… they are not really competed for save the start of a new expansion.
While each realm being seperated would nake it easier… to me it feels unneeded.
Ironically cross-realm open world actually killed open world content.
Especially the world PVP scene.
You aren’t competing with every single realm. There’s a list of realms that are CRZ’d together. Different realm groups are in different shards. At least, I think that’s how it works
I’m stilling kicking myself for not doing more rare-hunting before CRZs came about mid MoP. I really didn’t think through the implications of that system.
Blizzard really needs to just let go of the ego, disregard the optics, and just merge servers already.
Merge Horde-heavy Servers with Alliance-heavy ones. Merge multiple Low-Pops together into one medium/heavy pop.
Properly merge them, no half-measures like “cross-realm insert thing”
it’s 2024, WoW does not need 100 medium and low population servers.
If they want the game world to feel more alive, it’s time to bite the bullet and do the merges.
