Thoughts on BGB?

Kicking people without using arena1 macros, sleeping key targets, and target selection are skills on their own.

just wander off when a base is about to become unshielded and sleep walk cap it then spin with disintegrate oh wait disintegrate doesn’t spin lost the base

ab/dwg need to be trebucheted into the sun unless ur playing rogue in which case its the best bg ever made poggers

It’s an unbalanced mess. 2 healers on a node will keep an entire team busy while stealth classes cap bases that are poorly defended.

It’s a new style of rotations. Not sure whether it’s “better” or not.

I feel like they didn’t want anyone to become “base sitters” which I agree with, that’s boring and you might not have a good one in solo Q.

In deep wind the second you cap a flag you should be using all of your kit that you can to run to the one that’s available / about to come off lock

I dont really like it.

the people that I’ve played with now and prior to tww don’t play the bg correctly.

here are examples

tanks don’t want to spin flags or carry the flag.

healers only healing themselves not their team mates

people only in the bg to fight for themselves and not objectives

ie fighting on roads while objectives are unprotected, or it’s me 1 v 3.

teams that are seem to be super coordinated is because they are.

there are ways to que and get in as team, and that what is going on now

I love it and it’ll probably be the only form of PVP I play in TWW (minus any needed world PVP to optimize gear acquisition).

Ironically I usually win against those, lol.

Surprised to say I’ve actually been enjoying it. Healing feels like you’re carrying more frequently than shuffle where dampening ramps up rapidly.

The cry threads have been picking up already (as many of us predicted they would) about people “not doing their job” in bgblitz rofl. Leave it to wow pvpers to get giga upset about a rated mode in week one of prepatch. But yeah, like I said, been enjoying it as a more laid back way of playing “rated” content and will likely continue to play it in TWW.

It waters down the importance of positioning and strategy. Deepwind feels like a never ending game of tag with everyone boosting around the map trying to cap flags and avoid confrontation. The concept they probably had that you explained makes sense but its just not happening in practice.

I’m mixed on BGB currently. The concept is great really. But I swear most of the games I play, theres half my team that doesn’t want to work as a team, doesn’t try to play objectives, and really just don’t care about winning.
