I have a little thought experiment. Let’s say that you (and just you) suddenly had the ability and were multiboxing 20 WoW accounts at the same time, free of charge, on retail Classic WoW PVP server, with this character configuration:
16x Orc Hunters
4x Orc Shamans
You’re then able to make ALL hunters attack at the same time, using the same skills, etc. For example, ALL hunters arcane shot the same target at the same time. Same with the Shaman. You can chain heal on all at the same time, chain lighting, drop totems, etc. As in, with a single button click, you can 16x Multishot + 4x Chain heal at once.
What would you do? Would you do world PVP? Would you farm instances (5 mans) or 10 mans? Farm blues? Own the AH?
Do you think you could do raids yourself? If so, which ones and how?
With regards to PVP, would you roam broadly, or would you camp towns? Leveling hotspots? Crush STV endlessly?
Uninstall because you hate multiboxers?
What would YOU do if you had 16x hunters and 4x Shaman?
With regards to raiding, I was thinking about what it would be like to have 16x BM hunters with pets that have high threat + high tanking ability. You essentially have 16x tanks, each with a taunt, 55% or so armor mitigation, and rezzable in combat (hunter pet rez).
So with that said, even if a boss kills a pet in a few hits, you have 16 pet tanks, easily rezzable.
With that in mind, do you think 20 man raids could be done? Plus you have 4x resto shamans.
I’m not sure what you’re referring to as Blizzard decides what is and what is not allowed. They allow people to play multiple accounts as it clearly offers no advantage, only disadvantages.
For example, if there are 15 characters versus 15 characters, whereas one side is controlled by 1 person, then the other side has 15 independent people, the side with 15 independent people clearly have the advantage as they can all move and operate in unique ways, something the multiboxer cannot do.
Hey can you tell me your experience of using the ranged spellcasting hunter pets VS normal melee ones? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Imagine for example, 5x of these hunter pets coming at you. How would it be if 5x were melee VS 5x of these caster pets?
Not at all. As I said, Blizzard is the one to dictate the rules of their game, not you. If you disagree with Blizzard then you are free to play another game.
Everybody who plays this game has agreed to the rules that Blizzard has set forth in whole. You don’t get to agree and abide by the rules you selectively pick. If you play WoW on a PVP server, and people PVP you within the constructs that Blizzard has allowed, then the game has been played as Blizzard intends it to be.
So why are you so angry then? Multiboxers clearly do not have any advantage that the same number of characters would have, only disadvantages.
Okay, but guess what? They have the clear advantage on players of smaller group size and more often than not they will be fighting smaller group sizes. Unless you are at BRM where do you ever see a 20man group strolling around together?
Also TOS is not as infallible is you make it seem. Blizzard has changed their mind on a whim when it comes down to rules, made decisions that go directly against TOS and on top of that it’s left vague on purpose.
If you like multiboxing good for you but don’t even try for a second to pretend its benevolent.
I watch Twitch for a few hours a day while working and sometimes while gaming. I’d absolutely LOVE to watch 2 streams: 1 of a team fighting streamers, and of course, the stream of the popular streamer.
