Thought delves were going to be like D4 Nightmare dungeons or D3 Greater Rifts

I got a decent 2 hander out of a bountiful delve that I don’t think I’ll be able to replace any time soon. Even a weapon from one of the heroics isn’t better.

When were they ever advertised that way? They were billed as a fourth endgame pillar that had looser group requirements and that you could play solo. None of that implies mechanics-light.

Like every other endgame mode, the modular difficulty matters here. Players are intended to select the difficulty that they want to play. If that’s a lower difficulty to get a more casual experience then that’s what it is. Especially once season 1 starts and everyone has real gear the lower levels of delves will be truly quick and easy content.

do we have to beat every delve on max lvl or can we lazer focus one specific delve?

me to. who at blizzard is rock hard for under water stuff that they wont just drop it. nobody likes it but it always comes back

this works for people? i bound mine to \ because its out of the way so i dont accidently hit it and it works for me maybe 1 out of 100 times. i dont understand how it works for people.

ide like to add in that if you have to play 100 hours for it to get fun it has failed it job. anything that requires 100 hours before its fun sounds like it would have the smallest amount of players at best. idky they made the first few levels feel so boring and slow when there suppose to be the most interesting and fun to catch peoples attention. as it stands i want to get the stuff for the mount as quick as possible and then bail cause it doesnt feel fun.

Not long , I would guess, once people have some LFR gear, at the lowest, under their belt.

Scaling is gonna make or break delves. If delves 12 feels like delves 3 now just with you wearing better gear, they are gonna be a nothing burger. And of course how daring blizz will be with 13 remains to be seen. They use the word “challenge” from anything from a heroic dungeon to a mythic raid. I think it’s too soon to tell.

Not just challenge. I hear people saying its supposed to be like the mage tower challenges.

That would be cool. But again, if gearing through patches and expansions invalidates the progression of delves 1-12, thats kind of sad tbh.

delve tier 12 will be mage tower challenge

they give gear relevant to a person…
way better than torghast

and even better yet.

you dont even need to do them lol

Thats ok. Players love knowing theres a challenge out there they just cant best.

gear caps out at tier 8

tier 9 through twelve dont award anything but bragging rights

Ah, well then. I can stop once I get to T8.

There ment to be casual and relaxing not a zoom fest. You want fast go spam dungens where all the zoomer go and pull half the dungen in 1 pull. do that

People say all kinds of dumb and wrong things. Weekly vaults from delves top out at 616 ilvl, comparable to a +7 key. That’s not exactly hardcore nailbiter tests of skill.

They don’t even require you to be solo, there’s no way they remain difficult if you roll in with a tank.

the 13th secret delve is gonna be the mage tower challenge

release mage tower or late legion mage tower?

This is ridiculous. Delves are super fun precisely because of the mechanics. I don’t know what you guys are on about

What is fun for you? Running and aggroing though an entire instance and just killing everything? No thanks, Torghast was incredibly boring and long.

Delves are shorter and each one is different

I hate it devs might see these threads and think it’s a majority who thinks like this

I am not really sure what people are expecting.

They’re supposed to be an alternative small group gameplay loop to M+. They have some mechanics, but for the most part it’s nothing extremely onerous.

You have to spend some time killing mobs… yes… that is… the game.

yep, totally fun having to keep an eye on that breath meter. /eyeroll

Oh, and don’t forget. You can fall off the edges. I picked up one of those breath bubble and was jumping while I did so. Right of the edge to my death.

Yes, that’s how games work. Games are based on challenges.

If you’re not fond of that particular delve, you have like 10 different more to choose from.

Plus you have different ways of bypassing the breath mechanic (being an Undead character, potions, the fishing legendary artifact, equipping the Hydrocane staff, etc.)
