Those RED eyes!

Gotcha. Well, if the servers ever decide to work I’ll check it out.

I am most definitely making a night elf mage with the new customization. She’s going to be so cool!

if my character profile would update, lol I LOVE my new red eyes on my mage, I made a new corrupted magi transmog and the red eyes and pale skin are amazing.

I have to hand it to Blizzard…thank you SO MUCH for giving elves red eyes.

You know, I’m kinda wondering if Void Elf having access to the skin/eyes is a bug.

The forum Textures are fine for Blood Elves and presumably Night Elves, but as you can see with Tresa, they are not for Void Elves.

It might be. I am blacked out!

Hopefully not, though. If so, the backlash would be immense if they tired to take them out now.

my void elf mage has the customization, my profile just won’t update.

I do too. Not sure how some people updated their forum icon already lol.

But I find it weird that BE has forum textures for it but VE doesn’t. Makes me wonder if the VE is a bug or a very last minute addition.

I’m confused. Are blood elves now undead?

They can’t really undo it now (They could but that would end up being disastrous I fear), what they could do it make it so NB get them as a fair trade off.

Dark ranger customization. It’s a cosmetic option that’s going to make it easier for Blood elf hunters to RP as Dark Rangers/Sylvanas loyalists and for other blood elves to RP as San’layn.

I mean, they COULD, nothing’s stopping them. But yes, there would likely be backlash. I can already see it “Blizzard taking away PLAYER CHOICE!” (capitals and all)

As for Nightborne, they don’t have eye color options, so it’s not something Blizzard could hotfix in I believe. They’d have to do it in a 9.2.6 or 10.0.

Wouldn’t shock me if that’s why Nightborne weren’t included - they were too lazy to code in eye color options.

But Dark Rangers are undead

Your point?

If it is a bug, I agree it’s too late now. And yes NightBorne should have the option too.

Blood Elves are not undead unless they died and were raised by Val’kyr. I’m assuming this did not happen to the Blood Elves or there would have been a huge story around it.

I’m sure that’s covered in the accompanying quest that I haven’t done yet because

“World Server Down”.

We were given Dark Ranger customization cause the story is that the Dark Rangers “formally” join the united Forsaken (Velonara even talks about how the other forsaken don’t trust the dark rangers at the start of the questline), and the Night Elf Dark Rangers are allowed to return to the Alliance if they wish.

Hence the options being opened up.

No idea about void elves though.

This makes zero sense. In order to be a Dark Ranger and to have red eyes, you would have to have died and be raised by Val’kyr. I highly doubt that every elf in the game agreed to die just so they could have red eyes.

aka… shark jumping in progress

It’s more you can choose to portray your character as a dark ranger who joined right now or not.

No different than if dwarves add wildhammer tattoos to say they’re a wildhammer dwarf that joined later, or night elves with the night warrior eyes choosing to be present at the warfront, etc.

So basically what you are saying is that the Elves are just getting red contacts and are pretending to be Dark Rangers.
