[Major apoilers for Thor: Ragnarok and minor spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder ahead]
The climax of Thor: Ragnarok sees a giant monster plunge a sword into a planet, causing its destruction. This movie was released a few months after WoW patch 7.3 where we see a giant celestial plunge a sword into Azeroth, permanetly altering the landscape.
The end of Thor: Love and Thunder sees a charcter being welcomed into the afterlife. It seems pretty clear they intend to explore this plane of existance in the future; not unlike WoW Shadowlands which is close to 2 years old now. I sense a pattern, here.
Disney is interested in WoW’s wonders?
I wonder if they would be interested in working on Elemental Plane-themed Cartoon Shows…
Fire Elemental Plane, Water Elemental Plane, Earth Elemental Plane, Air Elemental Plane, Wood Elemental Plane, Metal Elemental Plane, Dream Elemental Plane, Nightmare Elemental Plane, Life Elemental Plane, Death Elemental Plane, Negative Energy Plane, Positive Energy Plane, Order Elemental Plane, Chaos Elemental Plane, Shadow Elemental Plane and Light Elemental Plane.
Throw in the Outer Planes of Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Unrestrained Evil, Unrestrained Neutral, Unrestrained Good, Neutral Good and Pure Neutral.
If Disney worked with Hasbro it could make a D&D Cartoon Show along those themes.
Incidentally Mount Celestia the Plane of Lawful Goodness represents the 7 Celestial Bodies seen in the Sky with the Unaided Eye:
- Lunia the Celestial Plane of the Moon is a Starlit Sea with Medieval Islands(one of which is a Rat Kingdom resembling the sort seen in Redwall) and a Land Before Time-style Island.
- Mercuria the Celestial Plane of Mercury is a cross between Inuyasha Japan and Ancient India with Oceans of Milk.
- Venya the Celestial Plane of Venus is the Shire from LotR.
- Solania the Celestial Plane of the Sun is basically Guild Wars’s Cantha and WoW’s Pandaria combined with Moria/Khaz Modan. There are Bureaucracies present just like Cantha has.
- Mertion the Celestial Plane of Mars is a vast Desert ruled by Paladins with some lakes.
- Jovar the Celestial Plane of Jupiter is an endless City of Angels with no sky though quite a few Celestial Bodies floating just below the City’s Ceiling.
- Chronias is a Plane of Radiance & Positive Energy combined and thus fatal to all visitors.
