So I decided to go back to Siege of Orgrimmar and tame Thok.
However, when I approached the entrance I noticed that everything is underwater. I can swim down to the entrance but can’t get in. I know i’ve cleared this raid. I even have Glory of the Orgrimmar Raider and have the Galakras Mount.
What am I missing or forgetting?

Under water? It’s under the city, and there’s never been a part that had water. Either wrong raid or that’s a bug.
I don’t know about the water, but I do know you have to make sure you’re in the correct version of that area. During BfA (I believe?), that area was part of the old god corruption. You should be able to find an npc on the map who will switch the zone to the correct version.
Just talk to lorewalker cho and run the lfr wing instead.
This what I did. No point in running through the whole raid for a tame, and you bypass the towers.
Were you able to tame Thok in a LFR? I was under the impression that it had to be on heroic.
Found Cho. He just gives two quests: Aggressive Notation & Black Empire. Nothing about LFR. Weird.
EDIT: Wowhead says he is tamable on any difficulty. So that’s a plus. I tamed Faultline and had to take ALL my gear off and just punch the boss. That almost killed him, tho.
EDIT: Nevermind. It’s Loremaster Han that I need to talk to.
D’uh slaps forehead I just needed to go to Wowhead.

No you can tame theme on any difficulty. I used LFR with no issues, and was faster.
So I spoke to Loremaster Han. Asked him to tell me about the Underhold Beneath Orgrimmar. That put me into an LFR in front of all the trash before Malkorok. I killed all the trash (there’s a LOT) then one-shotted Malkorok himself. Then off to the Spoils of Pandaria (ugh). After that, Thok. I killed all the trash around him. Did a strip tease. Turtled up and tamed him. Easy peasy.
