I see a lot of people playing disc now that it’s meta. Just a PSA devour matter swd’s and a couple void blasts solos the affix, and can give you 600 DPS overall in a 10.
Some of us only play disc no matter what season it is or how it over or under performs.

Agree, this has been my main toon for over a decade and i main disc regardless of strength.
Something im wrestling with is hpswise i can do same with both hero talents but 150k more dps overall as VW then oracle. How much does that dps help the key because running VW yesterday there were times i ran out of answers whereas oracle that’s rarely the case

150k will save like a minute, but 150k if you have your attonement uptime down is a lot more healing. There’s a linear relationship with DPS and hps.
Never having to drink because all healing is attonmements also saves like a minute.
Do you just have very low haste?
The answer is always Mind Blast, Mindbender or both. If you have to hold one of them for ~5 seconds then so be it, you hold it. But they’re such low CDs that I don’t know how you would struggle to not have one up without really low haste.
I agree with you when you’re gearing up that Oracle feels a lot smoother to heal with because you’re usually wrestling with like 7-12% haste. But after like 20% VW is always going to have something active, and it’s more just a flat DPS loss. Oracle can still heal totally fine, and you’ll get through everything, but there’s no advantage to it and it’s straight up more difficult than just unga bunga voidweave.
Runing into keys with 30% haste. There was a couple of times yesterday in ther 8-10 bracket where MB was on cd and i lacked something or pwr was on cd, dont have mana problems really either hero talent
Jak uses uppies and halo for this in high keys. If you know the fights uppies is viable. Shadowy halos are also a good oh sh*t button.
Not every boss, and pack has floor mechanics or swirlies you gotta move out of, and ones that do have times you can fit uppies into it.
What is a meta disc?
You’re still going to have gaps with Voidweaver where you have no bonus damage for 5s or so.
I did 1.9m burst in NW yesterday as oracle where i wouldn’t have struggled to get that as NW. One of those fights after the bridge where everything goes to crap
