I rarely complain about difficulty, i very much like M+ but this week seem just cheap difficulty.
Quaking + Thundering is just not very fun to play around, was blaming it last time on Tyrannical but honestly it just seems like its that combo itself + the fact so many bosses this season rely on either stack mechanics or tiny arenas.
Then you have Raging+Fortified who can just delete tanks cause why not.
I’d understand that kind of game design if i had to slot in a quarter anytime i queued for a key but its not the 1980s anymore.

I don’t mind weeks like this. I only avoid explosive or spiteful weeks lol

At least Explosives can be outplayed. Not much i can do about random timers lining up.

Outplayed how? Explosives = people say is a “healer” job. I wont be responsible for them, I just don’t play those weeks

They aint random though. They are at set intervals and you can play according to them allowing you too as you say “outplay them” as for raging. We have things like CC and soothe, tranq shot ect, ect for this.

Group comp becomes more important for certain affix combos and depending on which dungeon the higher you go.
We have all the tools, just need the person creating the group to know what they are doing in this respect and its a breeze.
Gotta be honest this kind of gives me a sick thrill considering that tanks are pretty accustomed to just soaking everything. Being humbled is sometimes a good thing.

Idk the fact the number of keys listed at my level listed dropped by 2/3rds this week seem to be a good indication.

I dont blame you. This expansion made healing in M+ very chaotic. I do use a moonfire mouseover macro but the best I can get is about 60% of 'em.
By design it’s more mobs pulled = more orbs = more healing. When 6 orbs spawn its like … hmm heal or orbs…

i guarantee the dps won’t pick up healing so… it’s a no brainer. let dps do dps, and you heal.
The only real “difficult” thing with quaking and thundering is dealing with Hyrja during storm phase, they fixed it in Shadowmoon on the worm so it cancels immediately if it proc’s during the inhale so it would be nice to see that fix applied the same there
I’ve had more issues with melee ignoring it and stacking on me while I tank this week than anything.
And I may be wrong here but the amount of damage you take from quaking is directly related to how far the circle over laps, so even if it and thundering are on you just use a movement ability to run through the other person to clear it and only get the edge damage of quaking and I get that some hallways its going to be a very tight squeeze but they are fully doable
I also hate explosive. I really hate all the affixes, they should get rid of affixes and let the dungeons and the timer be fun on their own.

While I respect this opinion, I’m the other way around. I think the affix combos that are nasty this season is because we have too few affixes. I’d like to see a few more moderate affixes added, or just remove a tier of affixes so we get fort/tyrannical + seasonal affix + 1 more affix.

Oh there’s def too few affixes now so i agree. But the only one i’m starting to really unreasonably hate is Quaking. Everything else i can play around.
