Tons of people offered valid solutions to the Gnomish Battle Chicken “problem”. How come the worst possible option was chosen?

The community just told you (Blizzard) that we didn’t want niche old trinkets messed with when you announced MQG was going to be gutted.

Can we please get a response outlining what was changed and why this change was picked out of a sea of better options? Was this even intended?

What does “initial cooldown period” even mean? Nobody knows!

Why is this change not even posted anywhere on the BURNING CRUSADE FORUMS? Why is it only posted in the “community council” forum?

I have a quick update on Gnomish Battle Chickens; With restarts this week, we deployed a hotfix for a bug where Illidan was not respecting the “initial cooldown” on some of his abilities, such as his Phase 5 Enrage. The TL;DR here is that in the original World of Warcraft, creatures would ignore the initial cooldown period for certain support spells (such as buffs or summon spells). Tldr: This battle chicken fix was actually implemented in patch 2.1 and post 2.1 you could never force procs.
