Catch 22
I came back after a 2 year hiatus (cancer sucks) but haven't made the jump to BfA.
My guild is long dead, but trying to gear up in Legion via LFR before wasting more money on this isn't working...

Yup, 7 hours and 6 minutes. The queue fills up with tanks and dps in about an hour, but there are never more than 1 heals signing up.
Judge me however you want to for wasting this much time on it, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
Of course it's not working -- the majority of the playerbase isn't XP-locked at 110 and cannot queue for Legion LFR.
Even if one goes with the possibility of the Twink community trying to be 110 twinks and farm gear from LFR for that purpose, it's rare to see twink healers.

Why? You'll replace all that gear pretty early into BfA.
Go to Argus, do WQ for Wakening Essences for Legendaries (sold by a vendor in Dalaran), collect Veiled Argunite for unsullied gear.
Why are you trying to gear in raids?

Sorry to hear about the cancer, man. I hope you’re kicking its !@#!
Legion was fun, however most of the "active" players are now in BfA.
They can't queue for LFR for lower content.
If you think you would enjoy BfA, I image you can gear up fairly quickly. Yes you will be undergeard in the beginning, but it shouldn't take more than a few days to hit 120. With the way ilvl works you being lower won't affect you much in the beginning. Just can't get into higher level content until you gear up.
Kudos on beating Cancer!
Welcome back!

Welcome back. Glad you feel better.
Have you considered healing in LFR for Legion? Btw, Legion is fun.

If only you could help with the healer shortage on your character.
As others have said, either just jump into BfA, and get quest gear that is better than Legion LFR gear, or head to Argus and farm the veiled arginite gear which is faster to acquire as well as being able to pick the slot you want and the same level as LFR gear.
If you just want to get gear from Legion, oh previous covered it.
Get relinquished stuff, veiled argunite gear. It is VERY fast, my 110 priest was my last character that get it.
ZONE INTO the greater invasion, once a week there, with the seal for the extra roll.
Once zoned in, look for the name of the boss/that area, in group finder/custom. Usually you get in within seconds, possibly getting a great drop of gear (this DK was my first character who discovered that, getting a gear upgrade the first 3 times I did this.)
Or, even easier, just get BFA and start the content in it.

Just buy BFA. It's new content.
why lfr needs to be removed in a nutshell
Argus world quests give better gear than LFR
Argus it is, thanks everyone.
And to those who asked, yes. I am in remission. Just 100lbs lighter and with much shorter hair.

I'd be curious how much time people are spending on BfA stuff right now compared to old content, I'd be very surprised if the majority is spending more time on BfA content.
