It doesn’t feel good to have nothing to progress… I don’t play the game for getting gifted with everything first week.
First day of expansion clearing normal raid in one hour and then continue heroic which doesn’t feel hard as well until smoleron, which took like 10 pulls. Going into M+ and doing +18 keys with 450 itemlevel. Getting all dungeon portals and KSM week one two chesting some of the keys doesn’t feel right.
A +20 key should be something that also the best players can only finish with 50 deaths and 30 minutes overtime in the first week.
I don’t have anything left to progress for except pushing io and clearing mythic raid at the end of second week. This is not fun.
Every season someone says that and it’s fine to say it but even during the hardest of seasons most people who could consider having that opinion already considered 20’s to be easy.
Nah game difficulty is fine, still need to remove the arbitrary time wasting mechanics. Time spent/wasted does not equal difficulty. Also difficulty does not equal fun.
I’m personally a big fan, it allows people that don’t enjoy it as much to easily get their gear and focus on raiding. Those that do enjoy it will be able to push high enough where the timer actually matters and deaths are punishing.
I’ve never tried for KSH before, I usually get KSM on week 3, then quit M+ until the next tier once I’ve got a title/mount. This season since I’m not doing much PVP I decided I’m getting my first KSH and joining an AoTC guild group for social/fun gaming. So my opinion as a non ‘I did everything week 1’ caliber player is:
I did KSM on week 2 instead of week 3 this time, I really didn’t want to push much for bursting week but I figured ‘if I don’t try to push on harder dungeon weeks, then I’m not going to benefit as much pushing on easy weeks,’ so I made myself push till I had KSM. I don’t get perfect tanks/DPS (because I’m not a perfect healer) and I pug, so I can tell you I earned every point of IO I got this week. Plus I don’t reroll, I play my main, so doing this content didn’t feel free.
The raid team I’m on runs 3 hours, one night a week. Both weeks we cleared N then went into H (last week with 30 mins for H, this week with an hour). We got the 4th boss to 12%. Felt like a good week, if we started H we might have got a few more bosses down, but once again the content felt plenty hard enough for average players.
Point being? 95% of the people who play this game don’t complete everything instantly. Maybe you should look for extra hobbies since WoW is so easy for you instead of assuming that only the top 1% of players should enjoy the game?
Content is easier because we’re gearing faster than we used too compared to previous expansions.
The crafted item system, gear upgrade system, and great vault means you’re getting 2-3 items a week. It takes about 6-8 weeks to reach Mythic iLvl after a new season starts. This is about 50% faster than Shadowlands.
Heroic felt hard when we were all iLvl 445-450, but then we walk in iLvl 465+ the next week, and it feels like doing normal mode.
It’s the same with keys. +20s felt hard at iLvl 450 and 0 tier, but now they feel like doing +16s with 4-piece, and higher iLvl gear.
Valid point if thats your opinion its fine. However the world doesn’t revolve around you and the vast majority aren’t as skilled as you and will take time even with high gear to reach 2k or something. Just keep pushing higher keys or play a game that is meant to be difficult. Adding difficulty gatekeeping to MMO( Massive multiplayer game) just kills the game. You want harder stuff play games meant for it or just keep pushing higher. My opinion.
Well unfortunately i am a EU player but write on US forum because US forums are dead. If you don’t believe me, my char is called Deltachaos on Blackmoore
No, it doesn’t change anything. I was able to do 11-15’s first week on my main healers last season as well. The point being though whether it’s super easy or super hard it doesn’t change the fact that some people are going to crush it regardless. So it’s not worth trying to tailor to that taste for there will never be full satisfaction.
And again I prefer an easier season so more people will play then one where we had to have a solid 2 months of practically nonstop nerfing.
