This Rush mentality

So basically…

You just never did dungeons or raids since WoW launched?

M+ made it worst.

I pity the new player that runs into those that treat leveling dungeons as M+ then get angry a leveling healer cannot keep up.

What if i told you that if m+ was never introduced…

People would still try to go as fast as possible after running the same thing for the 100th time.

shocking, I know.

You’re not being honest if you believe m+ hasn’t influenced a ton of the game since its introduction.

Rush, rush, rush went into overdrive after M+ conditioned players around its timers.

I never said that.

But the mentality was already and always will be there.

wrath started the rush mentality, its just not as horrible as it is here.

TBC was also a rush mentality.

Once karazhan/TK/BT was on farm, THE ONLY THING LEFT WAS TO RECLEAR FASTER.

You guys clearly either were not there, or are not remembering on purpose.

(or were in a very very family friendly casual guild)

i played all 3 classics and u couldnt really rush out the gate until wrath
where it starts to feel like retail dungeons which is bad (and which is why i prefer tbc)
maybe ur misremembering, i played it within the last 3 years hbu? lol

Just because you were cruising through retail classic at your own pace.

Does not mean others weren’t hitting lvl 70 in a week.

And I was referring to back when TBC/Wrath was current.

If you use retail classic its even FASTER

:man_facepalming:

im talkin abt dungeons mate

Those dungeons worked differently.

We have “leveling dungeons” as we call them now.

Back then they were not “leveling dungeons” they were more challenging.

That’s a bad example.

You’re comparing two different types of dungeons lol.

youre still rushing in endgame dungeons lol. this entire game is rush mode and thats why its garbo lol

Subjective opinion is subjective.

Yes, we have guilds, and they require us to perform

I have.

M+ just stifles what rewards you can get.

I don’t see it worth my time.

Gearing in WoW has never been faster than it is now.

With the addition of the catalyst / M+ / and the vault.

It is 10x easier to gear now than it was prior to these things being added.

Not to me.

WoW requires that you complete X amount of dungeons just to have a chance at X amount of rewards.

Whereas a game like Darktide, isn’t as restrictive on putting a quota on your characters to complete dungeons/missions in a very specific format to earn rewards.

You’re paid in cash as well as other resources that can be used to upgrade the rarity and effectiveness of your gear whereas in WoW those increments in effectiveness are…minuscule.

You also have less wiggle room to make mistakes. Screw up a key and it sets you back however long it took to run it. You fail a mission on Darktide and you can just queue up for a new one no matter the difficulty.

M+ is just an outdated, exclusive form of content to me compared to something more fresh like Darktide.

We used to do this before without any additional rewards?..

AND there was heroic dungeon LOCKOUTS.

So you found another game that you like?

I’m happy for you bro, but you’re wrong in saying it isn’t faster.

No, upgrades in WoW can be massive.

You should try simming some items, some of them give as much as an 11% dps increase.

You just queue for another key right off the bat again bro.

Once again, it was WAY WORSE BEFORE.

Fancying another game doesn’t make your points a fact.

If a Key has failed, you’d have to search for specific role in a group finder that takes much longer.

In Darktide you just press a button and you’re in a queue, ready to go.

I will say it likely isn’t fair to compare a co-op horde shooter to an mmorpg but its just far more accessible to me. Less red tape and less waiting around. Plus my rewards hinge less on RNG and having to get a perfect group every time.

a few minutes…

Good job ignoring everything else btw.

I’m happy you found your niche in another game though.

You don’t need a perfect group to do anything.

There was more waiting around before the 3 things I said were added to the game and you had no issues back then.
