This Phase isn't fun anymore

We need a an extra dungeon or zone expansion. Need more things to do.

The rumor is that MOP codebase was in terrible condition and its been all hands on deck to get that in shape… Hopefully we will get our development time back soon. Dev team needs to hike up the dress a bit and show us some leg…

I remember when they abandoned sod in the ST phase to go all hands on deck for the awful state cata ptr was in. Spells not even working, missing spells in the spell book, professions having class spells under the profession skill, having to use a macro to leave an instance, etc.

Crazy they still need to split dev time between these versions and can’t have separate teams.

Separate teams not in the budget.

Hopefully they start getting two teams up… Neither progressive classic nor Sod or soon “Season of X”, is getting their correct dev time.

doubt its gonna happen, More likely daddy MS looking to downsize as much as possible with how the macro economics are going today.

Or just split your time between other games.

I’m currently splitting between SWTOR (I’m back, baby!) and ESO, with a hint of FF14.

You will always burnout if all you do is play one videogame at a time.

Clair Obscur is pretty fun.

I am dying to try this again, I heard they fixed the muddy feel of gameplay (I played at launch)

They make well over 7 billion a year they can more than afford a dedicated team for each game.

Thats not gonna help the stock price. So no.

crazy that theyre redoing MOP at all.

cuckoo infact

How is it crazy when it’s going to be the most popular version of Classic?

That’s not really how budgets work. Retail makes the majority of Blizzard’s profits from store purchases. One store mount made 15 million this year.

The only money on paper that supports the Classic budget would be the MoP/Cata pre-orders and token sales.

lol? huh dude.

Its crazy they even did cata classic. wdym.
This was an absolute joke in 2019, and hear we are, 6 years later, with countless dev hours being spent developing nothing new, Fixing an unfixable amount of bugs in a game that’ll peak for a couple weeks then fade out the same as cata?

bruh, its cuckoo

It’s cool if you don’t like it but you can’t deny that Cata was popular. Maintained 120-150k raiders after it peaked and it’s not anywhere near as popular as MoP. MoP is bringing a ton of people back to Classic as it’s the only exciting thing really going on in the near future.

Why would Blizzard not continue with the only project that actually makes them money? You think SoD would have even happened? Classic doesn’t have a consistent source of revenue without Cata/MoP.

You have 4 separate versions of Vanilla so idk why you’d even care lmao

You know what.

You’re totally right.

It is an unfortunate reality, and Id rather hope for an anouncement than wait for MOP.(cope)

I’m still enjoying SoD guilds almost ready to step into the final raid

I’m hoping once the MoP launch is done they give us more news about more phases of SoD or news about classic+

The MoP launch is just the start really. There will be continuous work required after launch and throughout the phases.

I am fairly certain that they are putting the finishing touches on SoD and will move it to Era this summer, after they’re doing with SE updates.

it’s free. what budget?
