This PC catering is killing wow

I am 100% for changing anything hateful or transphobic but sometimes subtlety is the best policy. The newest changing name was an act of dumping on yourself to show how “good” you are. Grow-up do good quietly, allow goodness to be it’s own reward. People who stand in the roof tops or post their “goodness” seems they are be good to get praise rather then because it’s the righting to do. Haven’t you notice in 5 mans people rarely say hi or thanks? They treat each other like they’re NPS not another Human. This game is losing Subs you see it in Ques and in Guilds. The unneeded drama isn’t making the game better it’s drawing attention real life differences. That don’t need to be in the game, it our toon is trans great no one really cares, do you stand in fire or know your toon?! I’m telling you Blizz Quiet Class is valuable, fix what needs fixing but leave the real world difference at the log in screen.

So PC catering is fine as long as they’re not being transparent about it, okay. What if they just- didn’t? There was nothing even blatantly ‘transphobic’ or whatever other buzzword you want to plug into it about any of the changed dialogues.

I can’t even follow what the OP is trying to say.

The only reason people even know about most of the changes they’ve made is because of dataminers scraping every PTR build. How much more subtle can you get beyond “change something and tell no one?”

Some here will tell you that they should have hard-encrypted the files, because “they know about datamining, so putting it in a patch is as good as announcing it”.

Like there wouldn’t have been a :poop:storm if they had tried to hide it. People are stupid.

How many people know that the Kirin Tor Tavern Crawl was deleted from the game? Not many, I assume. There wasn’t any Wowhead article about it.

Gotta love the complete and utter overreaction by Blizzard. Can’t even have a pub crawl with these oversocialized wretches. I had thought it had just been bugged and disabled, again. Can’t blame players for not noticing Blizzard’s subpar “micro-holidays” for going unnoticed when Blizz doesn’t try to make them fun, engaging, or worthwhile.

actually. 99% of times that is 100% of the conversation in a group. :face_with_monocle:

I just opened the maw earlier, and they got rid of the “not enough haft” joke that Thrall makes. Now he says “not enough handle.”

What’s weird is the half sentence that was changed sounds like a different voice actor. I’m an adult though, so I won’t miss things like that.

I mean is it just me or are people taking this way too hard? I have never played this game for it’s frankly juvenile sense of humor. I’ve always kind of just blown past it. Guess I always assumed most people treated it that way, I mean the love and adoration being poured out for things like /spit is an utter boggle to me as well.

“How can I have fun in this game if I can’t spit on people and listen to poop jokes?!?!?”

Somehow I’ve been here since 07 and never paid attention to any of the stuff they are removing other than perhaps to mock it.

Bro. Proof read your posts. A lot of this is a jumbled mess

Really? That wasn’t mentioned in the last article about changes. I wonder what else we missed. Thanks for sharing that!

Odd I heard both in the past before these fixes

I was in freehold the other day and the pirate didn’t spam about his parrot “needing to empty his hold” right before he poops all over you and I thought it might have been removed as well. Then I did it again and the line was back, must’ve been just random that he said other stuff that one time instead.

So fear not, good ruffians, Sharkbait is safe for now.

Arnt all the changing of npc names etc data mined by wowhead rather than blizzard posting about them doing it? In which case gg blizz they are doing what you want them to… Am I missing something?

I’m pretty sure this game is PC only…

I came to this thread thing I was finally going to see something different. More love for WoW on consoles and less focus solely on PC.

Does that even change the meaning at all? Almost clarifies it as more of a double entendre.

Good point. Seems like they are changing some things just cause.

Most of the time I can’t stand you, but every once in a while.

This one was damn good.

Eh, considering Brewfest is still around, I think I’m willing to chalk that one up to something breaking again and causing the event to get the axe. 'Course we’ll probably never know.
