This Panda Remix made me Wonder

It made me realize how, in the old days, the game felt more ‘magnificent.’ I’m talking about the details, like the music.
Don’t get me wrong, things in retail today are beautiful and well-crafted, but it feels like something is missing, making it seem kind of “generic” (Not to say the “soulless” cliché).

Using music as an example again, the difference in quality is noticeable. I’m not saying the music in Retail is bad; on the contrary, it’s very good, but forgettable.

But there’s something about the music from old WoW that is, I don’t know, memorable, eerie and epic.

When i hear the old ashenvale music, that soprano song in Elvish languages makes me shiver.

Hope they bring this “soul touch” back in the future.

Thats it. Just a rant from a nostalgic player.

I think ramparts of Valdrakken is pretty good but people are maybe tired of hearing it

The music in Valdrakken is amazing. The Nature theme, song 3 from Amirdrassil is Epic.

Even the Kul Tiran theme song is a banger.

Base game music? You called it as it is; Nostalgia.

The main game si there still kinda majestic. This kinda content is to make fun for bored players and maybe Blizz will pick up a few new systems to add to future expansions

WoW still has good music. It has had good music even in SL.

I have nostalgic emotional connections to the older music as well, but that comes with time, not anything else.

I’m sure at some point in the future, in 2034, if I’m still alive, I will be nostalgic for Valdrakken’s music.

Q: do you reckon the new music is forgettable because the old music is what’s nostalgic to you and the new one doesn’t click as a result?

E.G: Baby Elk on first character levelled with a friend in BfA and the amount of time we play Boralus music in our playlist is a lot.

when making a statement in the future it helps if you are more definitive in what you think.

Meanwhile I just want one rock theme with an electric guitar. I think wow music has been a bit too shy over the years.

WoW expansion theme but it’s just Sorairo Days

It’s not nostalgia though. It was just better. The sound design paradigm has changed. I’m not sure why but they’re going in a different direction with it in Retail and… :dracthyr_shrug:
