This new CD manager is garbage. Why did you remove the old one?

I just.

Want to track my Violent Outburst stacks. My Ignore Pain %. The old cd manager we had FINALLY did that.

Then you just, remove it.

Who made this? Do they even play the game.

lmao.

Edit: Yay, I suppose.

Can’t even rearrage the cds on it, it seems to have been thrown in a random order and stays that way.

Garbage CD manager and garbage patch event, a month until anything interesting comes along.

While i am glad they made this new “feature” something we have to actually opt into as opposed to lots of new stuff that they turn on by default, leaving us to have to screw around trying to work out how to get things back to normal, it seems some aspects of it are in fact active whether you turn it on or not :woman_facepalming:

I’m sure if I looked at your HUD and button mapping I’d assume the same thing.

It sucks this one is locked in, but it’s manageable. And after looking at it for a bit you’ll get used to it…

Or, alternatively, you can redownload you WeakAura’s and use that until Blizz decides it’s done with addon’s and your forced to get used to their CD manager.

A lot of steps Blizz is taking seem to be pointing towards a day when addon’s will be banned and get accounts who continue to use them banned.

It’s honestly insulting.

Like I was handed a fisher price toy when I asked for a tool.

lmao.

What’s the point in saying this? People customize their bars to what feels right, you can’t with this “Cooldown Manager” so it sucks.

Never got rid of it, had a feeling this would suck and it does. They’re a LONG way off and probably never will reach the impact Weakauras can have on your game.

Brown nosing bad development isn’t a good look.

When have they alever expressed interest in doing as good as anyone else?

I’m not brown nosing anything, I’d make changes to the current iteration just like you. But I’m not a Dev and can’t so what the point in speculating about if they did this or that different?

I’m pointing out that Blizzard isn’t interested in maintaining the current players, they’d rather get new players. So if you and a bunch of players get mad that they ban addon’s and leave the game oh well, they’re goal is new players anyway.

So, since there’s nothing I can do about it and understand addon’s are barely needed, and only at the highest levels of play, why complain about what they gave us? I either use it or I don’t. And if I don’t I already know how to craft a better version using resources available in game already

Yeah, the Ret Paladin CD manager doesn’t track Crusade stacks and it’s very frustrating. The old manager that was on the personal nameplate resource display was far superior in showing me my relevant buffs.

I wish there was a way to toggle that back, but even with the CD manager disabled, it still doesn’t show the buffs.

Absolutely garbage. Back to visually scanning the buff/debuff area.

I disagree.

I think they are just trying to make the game more user-friendly to new players.

One of the things current players mention a lot on this board is that WoW has a steep learning curve.

That is not my experience but if you add in the addons, keybinding, guides and youtube videos some folks seem to think are baseline for content, I understand that, for them, there is a steep learning curve.

Blizzard seems to see it the same way and is simply slowly incorporating what they can to make some of that baseline to flatten that curve somewhat.

It’s amazing what humans can do when they actually use their eyes to watch their screen innit?

Fair point, but until they make another announcement about their intentions taking back their statement about wanting everyone to play WoW I’m going to continue to assume they are fine with old players leaving if it means the community and accessibility of the game are new player friendly.

And M+/Myth Raiding are sticking around so there will always be an avenue for higher skill cap players to chase

Try projecting elsewhere.

We’re discussing actual feedback here.

lmao.

Meanwhile I’m over here STILL waiting for them to allow us to move the group loot roll window and drop notifications windows via edit mode.

I can’t seem to find a way to edit which abilities are even on the tracker. It has random stuff like Mind Flay and Vampiric Touch on it that don’t even have cooldowns.

And if I knew how to post articles here I’d post a link to an announcement they’ve made about them intending for everyone on the planet to interact with WoW at one point in their life.

Google and learn for yourself tho. I’m not a teacher and it’s not my job to teach a troll on the forums about something they don’t want to hear or learn.

But I am referring to statements that Blizz has made and put into the world. And those statements make it pretty clear they seem to be fine with the idea of old players leaving because of decisions they are making to make the community healthier and the game more accessible

I don’t think you can. The CD manager appears to be whatever Blizz put on there they want us to just like it as is.

It’s completely useless then. May as well just look at my action bars.

I don’t need to track a bunch of random no cooldown abilities or things I never use like Halo.

Everyone would, by default, include old players as well as present non-players.

I have no idea what this is in relation to.

But regardless, citation please!
