I hate making hyperbolic threads like this but I really feel it’s warranted this time.
Forcing people to do DF content just to get the xp potions is one thing, but now when you actually are, the satchels are barely dropping. 30 minutes of DF zone questing got me 1 blue satchel, which didn’t reward the 10% xp potion.
What is the point of this event? If you wanted to give people reasons to farm renown, don’t tether it to a leveling event. I don’t care about that.

WHAT??
You want to tell me you farmed THIRTY WHOLE MINUTES and nothing dropped?
Scandalous… Why don’t you delete all your toons and /quit the game while you’re at it

Bruh, you’re complaining about an event that gets you from 1-70 in an hour. You have no clout to be critiquing brain matter.

Wuh-woah, Widdwe Biwwy is angwy! Fiwty minutes! Actuwaw gawbage guys!
lol
Interesting how people defend something so… childishly?
Either way, have they reduced the droprate of the satchels since start, or do you feel like this has been it since the beginning?
I’ve enjoyed the event and felt like I get decent chunks of satchels depending on what content I do.

The only bad part about this event is it’s in Dragonflight. DF isn’t a terrible leveling experience by any means but you’ve got Outlands and Wrath over here desperately needing the QoL improvements this event brings.
Keep the rep to DF. Give us a reason to visit another expansion outside of Remix.
Also wtf is up with all these leveling/warband events they’re throwing at us? Why even waste the dev time on more than one? Why not just extend a single event out?

bro is out here on his freshly made dk with 3 posts, all of them in this thread. There’s nothing to defend we’re just here to clown on the obvious troll bait.

Don’t bother with these guys, they’re not worth the seconds it takes to type a reply.

Seconding this. While they don’t drop every kill, just casually running through the main quests will usually net you enough to semi stay caught up with gear, at least enough to keep it from feeling like you’re a wet paper bag trying to take down a trash mob.
Follower dungeons, at least from my experience, generally drop 1-3 satchels. With the experience boosts rolling and the full warband XP buff (5 level 80’s) I’m gaining at least a level per follower dungeon since I started running them around level 50. Highly recommend it if you’re getting burnt out.

I get a ton of them on my alts. I’d assume the guy is just really slow and inefficient at leveling.

I have just been parking my characters just outside Valdrakken and just killing one mob and getting the satchel each time (no potion sometimes though) every day. I will use the potions later when I am ready to level them.
I went to level 70 without ever entering Dragonflight content. Sounds like a skill issue.
Yes, that seems evident to me now.
I’m level 10 because it’s a fresh character and I want to level this guy lol. I’m not some forum alt troll. Whatever, I guess.
But they really did nerf the xp potion drop rate hard. I can confirm that follower dungeons no longer drop them at all, but even with the daily bonus satchel, you’re not guaranteed to get a potion anymore, anywhere else in DF content.
Well, it’s either a bug or they stealth nerfed the drop rate. Not sure why.

You aren’t forced: The XP boost applies to all leveling content. You only get the special stuff in DF and TWW which, trust me, you can survive without.
I’ve been having fun leveling through DF, though. I got a ton of reknown doing WQs and there’s a ton of great quest chains I missed. I thought I was clever coming up with Kaja’coffee, being like, “Oh this was before Kaja’cola was popping off.”
But Kaja’coffee exists. And an NPC was having it.
But nah, it’s been a neat time, a good excuse to get all the stuff I missed without going through the actual campaign. Really, with no stakes and just going on random adventures, DF feels like a much better time, from a narrative standpoint.

I like the satchels since they help fill gaps in gear that I don’t receive in dungeons. It made me feel as though I was always equipped with decent gear for my level and I hope they keep this type of questing reward in the game beyond the event. The rate of leveling is very quick if you choose to dungeon. It wasn’t weird if I replaced a starter white item with something that’s ilvl 300 or something. Which is wild!
As I leveled my warlock recently I noticed that the satchels were dropping but it was more only containing gear and random buff potions than anything else. Which was fine since I had already obtained 3-4 leveling potions to use which last for 2 hours which was plenty enough to get my character leveled with.

I’m leveling a Shadowpriest through dragonflight right now with the event and I feel like I’m getting a ton of satchels. Pretty much every 3rd or 4th quest turn in, rares, and just random drops

I don’t know about “actual garbage” but I do think it’s one of the worst leveling events yet. Turbulent Timeways, Remix and the Anniversary is above and beyond better but this one isn’t bad. I would say it’s just “ok.”
I think it’s focused more on the renown, like you said. Makes leveling in DF worth it.

NVM; I am the ignorant one today. ^^
I disagree he is clowning, tho.
Nah man, last patch was literal garbage, it’s even a zone mechanic. You dig through garbage.
