This just in: Bear druids going extinct

We all know it’s happening and we’ve talked about it but Blizzard refuses to save this endangered tank. So what do y’all have to say about it?

Apparently they’re having a rough time in BoD, esp on Grong.

I’ve just been Recycling and hoping the for best.

nothing will change and if it does and they have it planned its for 8.2 because they wont want to mess up the “meta” that keyboard champions like method and limit run

It’s all been said. Several times. Which is why you see the exodus from Bear to anything else. The only ones left are in hibernation or are just too damn stubborn to give up.

Yea, I am too stubborn. This would be easy to fix bears, increase damage to single target could just make maul worth our while for giving up the defense and make it like 3 x the damage or buff it along with our other single target by about 20 to 30% for dps and agro and then at least give us the ability to decurse in bear for utility and then either revert our regen or make the recharge rate down to 24 sec not the crappy 36 sec those would at least make us competitive to say a pally. Also need a 20% baseline slow.

Patch 7.1: Releases most amazing skin ever put in the game exclusively for guardian druids.

Patch 8.0: Ruins the spec.

I had no issues on Grong, it was a smooth fight… Mekkatorque however made me never want to raid again… and that was just Heroic.

Early in mythic progression (I am certainly not a progression raider), I see many brewmasters, limit has double pallys, a few DKs and prot warriors. No DH or druids. Again not a surprise…1000s of responses for fixing bears and not one blue response. What about even tuning, at least give us 20% more dps or something.

So bears are this expansions warriors, neat.

I don’t remember Prot warriors ever being bad, I only remember them being very gear dependent. I miss the banner they had.

Prot warriors were fairly bad at the start of Legion and also BFA

To each his own I guess :cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat:

And yet they got attention in BfA and bears didnt :frowning: . If that’s the case regarding legion then that makes sense, I remember as far back as BC that warriors were always bad until they got good gear. I tanked prot mid legion and they felt great, pulled off goofy things with ignore pain lol

Prot warriors were never desired or top tier in legion or BfA.

Bears were top tier in legion only second to DK in the last two tiers.

Issue I see right now is the artifact was taken away but bears retained the least of any class from them. Adaptive fur, mastery buff, and infected claws for a slow would turn bear around. I would consider making frenzied Regen back to heal damage from last. 5 seconds.

I’m leveling my bear and having a lot of fun with it.

I’ve been preaching Adaptive fur since beta, all the changes you suggested would be a miracle.

It’s odd because I don’t remember there being an ability bloat issue in Legion so I don’t see why they felt it was okay to leave every class with less. I didn’t even look at class forums in legion cause everything felt like it was in a good place. I played Mage, Warrior, Druid, Dk, Warlock, and Monk. The artifacts ensured that each specialization felt like an entirely new experience, it’s a shame they didn’t want to continue in that direction.

There wasn’t a bloat. I think Mark was a bit much as old frenzied Regen + adaptive fur +. Mastery was enough to handle soaking magic damage but now in BfA theyve been neutered and taken away.

Many good passives were lost from Legion to BfA. I’d love to have rage of the sleeper back as well. Hell, I’d love fire tornadoes and elemental spikes back on my enh shaman as well.

dead spec until blizzard fix guardians.
