So, trying to buy mats off the AH is kinda terrible right now. I’m guessing it’s because of automated AH bots constantly buying and reposting anything undercutting. I was spamming buy now and it took a dozen tries to successfully purchase something sometimes. Pretty annoying.

I haven’t visited the AH recently, but there’s been bugs reported with it. That might be your issue too.

It’s because you are trying to buy the bait the bots are putting out. The rest of the items work fine. Most of these bots are using addon’s like TSM and versions of LUA scripts.
TSM is one of many add-ons and is not even as powerful as add-ons from the past. There’s obviously something going on internally. People that complain about TSM think it’s some automated money printer because they didn’t understand it.
Doubt it’s mainly bots.
Right now everyone who plans on leveling a profession to make gold is buying mats like crazy to make sure they don’t fall behind and the auction house Goblins are also trying to make money at the same time.
Dont forget, you’re trying to buy things at the exact same time as anyone else accessing the AH from any realm when it comes to materials.
There is a backend issue though. Blizz has been pretty clear about that and I know its definitely not helping because it’s causing slowing issues with the AH.
Once Season 1 rolls around, expect things to smooth out a lot with materials.
