This isn't what we asked for

The rewards? Yes.

The actual farm with sitting and waiting/killing it if it’s up when I arrive? Absolutely not.

Been running into your posts around the forums a lot lately and I just wanted to say that your voice is appreciated. Love seeing someone like you on the CC.

Thank you for you insightful commentary. You’re awesome.

Sadly I don’t know if I’ll be able to have a 2nd term with how critical my feedback has been but to be honest they should have expected it and actually used us for our insight instead of thinking “They’ll totally love this and NOT give us backlash over it!” Why do we have a private discord of 100 hand selected individuals if we’re not being used for the purpose of picking our brains before you put out a thoughtless decision?

If the Dev’s don’t utilize the discord then I’m gonna riot on the forums with all of you.

Thank you for the kind words! Just know even if I lose my shiny gold text wrap I’ll still be here with you all!

Put dreamsurges in ZC and FR. Blizzard, come on the answer is right in front of your face and you literally created the fix. It’s like your hand is on fire and in your other hand you have a glass of water, but you have an unga bunga brain.

I literally just started farming the zaralek surveyor mog yesterday (dropped from rares). Will this change help or hurt my efforts in obtaining these mog pieces? Why?

I do like how much you’re in the community, what I’m about to say may seem mean but I find it hard to take the CC seriously when 90% of them have 25-50 posts to their name and we never see them in any other part of the forum.

Don’t think your words too harsh because in a sense its true, but also you have to remember the CC is comprised of all regions of the game. EU players included who do have their own forums to frequent but also because they were forced to create a throw away NA account if they wanted contribute…

Another factor is that some CC members are afraid of the backlash they’d receive based on the prospect that our posts are a different color than others. It’s a common misconception that we have the ear of devs at our beck and call when in reality our feedback feels just as much ignored as everyone elses.

I can’t speak for many on the council, but I’ll speak for myself, I’m a WoW lover and will continue to play for as long as I can. I will jump at any chance to involve myself in discussions that could benefit and change the future of the game into something we can all appreciate.

The CC doesn’t matter, never has. They do what they do and ignore feedback until the metrics show they have to make a change for money reasons.

I see many ways to solve it.

Old zones should come with either a victory buff (raid related to that zone completed either by expansion progression or by completing heroic) to our damage or applies an HP nerf.

Have old content heirloom like applications to your account that give you greater damage or mitigation once applied. Not tied to gear.

That way my alts and people who group with me benefit from my perks.

We shouldn’t need to wait 4 expansions to solo rares, elites, WBs with ease. Again, this is if the content is truly passed its expiration date.

Boy howdy I sure do love going through a lengthy application that makes it seem like I’ll be heard only to get hired and shoved in a tiny closet and left in the dark with 100 other people.

It was me Barry. I made Blizzard fail to recognize the feedback regarding Zaralek caverns so they’d implement the lamest fix no one asked for.

Lol, this guy thought he meant we are in charge of development. Like, leading the scrums and everything. What a dumb post.

“we” ? how did you end up with the cool kids?

Cooler than some guy upset about folks talking about changes wanted in a game for sure.

long way to my level…

I’m gonna let you in on a secret, one you should know already but might have missed as a lot of forum posters (both CC and average forum-folks seem to have missed):

They are treating DF exactly as to what folks have been asking for since pre-Legion. Make all forms of content relevant and current as part of the current live expansion. Which is why the Caverns were ignored, because … you get the same stuff there as everywhere else. The only bit of content that was introduced that remained relevant for a bit longer that folks actively did was the Forbidden Reach. Because of the ring.

What Blizzard is doing is to basically fulfill what folks wanted from Dragonflight … including the things people had no idea that they were asking for would make the game worse. Similarly to how SL had broken mechanics that couldn’t be fixed due to how late it was into the development cycle, DF has similar issues. In SL they couldn’t completely rework the Covenants due to how they mechanically worked and we ended up with a subpar system because … people had been asking for a subpar system. In DF folks had been asking for content to remain “relevant” for longer so they designed the entire expansion around the concept that everything scales. Which means that folks don’t do content unless it is the easiest thing out there to do.

Sorry but, this is just how Dragonflight works. For good and for bad, this is what people were asking for even if folks had no idea that this is what it meant. Zones and rares that are out of the way and more difficult content than other forms of content will be disregarded. The mere act of having to travel to the Caverns made it less relevant. This also means that eventually, the Emerald Dream will receive a similar treatment and result. Less so due to having just one centralised hub of which we have a direct portal to, meaning that the content is easily accessible comparatively speaking.

Sorry but to everyone who says “This isn’t what we asked for”; this is exactly what folks has been asking for and have been for half a decade at this point. It doesn’t mean that folks knew what they were asking for though.
