This isn't FUN anymore

Bosses have set loot. The box contains all items from mythic dungeons. The people that get 4 cloaks 4 weeks in a row say hello.

Agree. Neither is getting the same or worse 400 shoulders from WQ rewards every single time it’s an azerite piece from an emissary, when I still had a 390 chest. Had to finally buy one.

Oh look, another week, same garbage loot. Meanwhile, some are getting back to back 415s per week.

What?

see alot of moaning about the ilevel of their gear. I play most days my best toon is a blacksmith and can’t even make a decent weapon with which to start raiding for the higher gear … and the number of raids the only source for some mats you have to get mats to craft with is ridiculous.

I hate the way Blizz try to manipulate you into Raiding… PvP and redoing old dungeons.

And heres a simple fix… you complete a dungeon or raid you get tokens to buy gear with, you get the drop from the bosses its more tokens to buy gear with … then you go pick the gear you want or spend tokens on improving the gear you already have. And you get to pick gear for your spec… which means you also get to pick which stats.

They have made wow into a game of chance and I for one think of wow as a game of skill and do not want to mix it all in with gambling nor should we be encouraging minors (which is people under 18 in the UK) to gamble.

rng gear equals more player engagement…lol.

Noob here.

What’s the deal with a couple more item levels? Keep in mind that I haven’t even hit 120 yet with a single character, and I haven’t done any BFA dungeons or raids.

Is it just min-maxing? Does it help you kills something like… 1% faster? Is it just something to fill your time with because you’ve exhausted all the new content?

Me, I find it a little overwhelming and demoralizing to think that by the time I would even start worrying about item lvls like ppl discuss on the forums, there will probably be a new expansion with gear that totally invalidates the gear I’ve already collected.

And that speaks to a further concern I have with this game as I continue playing (or not)… what’s the point? Why put in all this work when the next expansion means totally new gear anyway? I guess going down that rabbit hole means asking the question “why play at all?”

I never even understood the loot box thing. Why don’t they just let bosses drop loot in mythics like normal dungeons, and put some kind of scale on them by time thresholds in order to get it.

I know there are drawbacks of this, like people leaving after one boss after they get what they want, but at least this way people would know where the gear came from that they wanted and they could farm it, like in the past.

They could also introduce badges (like everyone wants anyway) that add up to a legit piece of gear per week that you can buy from a vendor.

I don’t get why they are beating this loot box model to death. It’s a short term satisfaction thing that adds up to an empty feeling in the long run.

This right here is simply the best answer to this entire games content from beginning to end. If gear is the only driving force one has to play this game at any level of play, then they completely miss the entire point of playing this game.

Dude… just get conquest cap for a 410 weapon.

I have 430s and a 440 on the characters I play now.

Conquest capping didn’t give 410s in april. :stuck_out_tongue:

I blame the younger kids who are obsessed with opening the unknown. The only stupid toys my kids want when we go to the store are LOLs. I hate them.

That is exactly what the loot and paragon boxes remind me of.

This thread was necro’d from May, and the post was created in April. Are we supposed to dig up months old posts like this?

What does this mean? How do you “conquest cap?” Thanks.

It’s funny because this topic is still relevant even to this day

Unsubbed like a few days ago. Once you learn the ropes with this game, it’s easy to see where it is lacking.
