Agreed, hrothgar in FFXIV is much better.
Of course it does, you just need to get into what it means to play a Final Fantasy game and a RPGMMO, rather than a MMO-whatever World of Warcraft is in this day and age… MMOCRAP I would call it.

See this is where I tend to disagree with meta sometimes, meta is great and all, yet a good feral is better than a bad balance druid. I’ve had feral’s and survival hunters just demolish, they really pumped hard, keys before, in stark comparison to meta comp players I’ve had along. Meta isn’t everything, yet its an easy crux to push keys given how it can carry.
You can call it what you want. Personally I call it World of Warcrack.
You can’t be a Gnome in FFXIV. Nor roleplay as one for that matter.
I do not agree at all with this point of view, I, for example, do not play tank, with my mage I never play frost, and so with each of my alts there are specs that I have never played in a seriously way, I just don’t like them, and that is not bad, what is bad is that there are inefficient specs. Which once again leads to Blizzard’s inability to balance its game.
Playing with a spec whose style or visual you like and make you feel comfortable shouldn’t be a bad thing.
Lalafell are better, they actually have a serious presence in the game and lore itself, rather than just being treated as comic relief.
Different word, same thing. Crack is crap, thus you just turned World of Warcraft into World of Warcrap.
You can, they are called Lalafell and they are the most evil beings in the game.
Well, so can Gnomes. As far as I know, lore wise, Gnomes almost went extinct because of Thermaplugg and his fallout schemes.
Like… a fallout. Do you have any idea how bad that is? Y’know, with all the radiation and mutation and stuff?
People only treat Gnomes as comic relief because of their size or their sharp intelligence. Wooooooo yay stereotypes.
And as far as I know, “crap” is faces and “crack” is a drug. While crack can be a bad thing, I have no idea how you came to think I changed Warcrack into Warcrap.
Like bro, if you don’t like the game yourself, why are you even here?
No, it reflects an interest in wanting to play Feral.
Blizzard endorsed the stereotypes, it is blizzard wh omade them what they are. So Gnomes are comic relief.
Crack is crap.
To bully people, because I am a meanie elf.
Which means that blizzard must remove all playable elves from World of Warcraft to get rid of toxicity.
Blizzard, you are committed to the removal of toxicity, remove all playable elves from the game.
Human male paladins too. Yes, human male specifically.
Tell that to the people who want to be pure healers and get berated for doing so even though the game designers have made it clear that they are not required to do anything other than heal.
FTFY. Okay now you can get the hell of my thread.
You don’t have to agree with that view. It isn’t really even my point of view - I play an enhancement shaman as my primary alt and enjoy playing keys with it even though it is a “dumpster tier” spec.
However, it is the point of view of a large swath of players in the community. This is a social game. You are not playing it by yourself, you’re playing as part of a wider community of players. They have their own thoughts and opinions about the game and they’re free to choose or exclude whomever they please. If you choose to play a spec near the bottom of the pile, knowing that the spec is not considered meta, you are signaling that you do not care about what is meta, and that will be taken into consideration by other players.
If you’re going to “talk the talk” and basically say “I am good at this game even though I play Feral”… well, you need to walk the walk first. Build up a solid IO and you’ll probably find that you’ll get into groups regardless. My shammy for instance was able to PUG to KSM in 9 days off the back of my main’s IO. A Feral Druid could likely do the same thing.
To you. Other people will read other things into your decision.
Good satire.
Seriously though, the concept has been around for longer than this game and that game. That game’s predecessor, there are jobs where you’ll cast a couple buffs, then a couple debuffs and you’ll literally do nothing else but possibly follow for 5 minutes at a time.
I understand this and this is why it is Blizzard’s responsibility to balance the game so that as many as possible can play what they want without it being a problem.
He’s a Squeenix shill.
Can’t go two posts without advertising that crap MMO.
Who would want to play like that.
No one should be allowed to play like that.
It is bad game design, it is lazy, it is borderline stupid and there is nothing more to add than that.
A dps’ job is to deal damage, and said dps then just turns to auto attack and does nothing else… he is doing his job, he does dps.
Tanks job is to just hold aggro. He just taunts everything and does nothing else but make sure that everything hits him, he does not have to deal damage.
Of course all the jobs have to deal damage, it is a team effort to kill everything.
We have to be a superpowered team of genocidal maniacs.
Nah, I won’t ever shill for Square Enix.
I will simp for Yoshida though.
Meme specs unite!
Let’s form a group with demo lock, feral druid, survival hunter, disc priest and prot paladin! Let’s show them how far we can push!
Pro tip: We won’t go far.
Hey man my advice to your friend will be to suck it up and go resto or boomkin. Then once hes geared he can go feral since people wont really care if you are geared.
Tons of people do. Those jobs are the most sought after for group content.
Why?
Thank you for your opinion on the matter.
That’s a bad comparison. His job is to DPS. Is he using his DPS abilities?
A tank is not going to hold aggro just by taunting alone. They’re an engaging job. Did the Spartans use their shields or did they just yell at enemies?
Sure is! Healers be keepin you alive while you do it!
