So we need cloth to look like cloth and plate to look like plate, eh?

Thats cloth…not plate.
Tell me it doesnt look like plate.
Why restrict us when so many mogs DONT even look like what theyre supposed to be in the first place?
I thought they were stupid but now I think they are really stupid
It’s just very hard, shiny, and metallic cloth.
I agree with you; but I still think the dumbest restriction in the history of Xmog was Artifact weapon skins tied to a spec.
I can’t remember when mogs ever looked like what they’re called. I’ve seen way too many “sandals” that look like knee-high boots!
Man there’s nothing I’d like more for my ret pally than to mog one of those awesome holy only two-handed hammer skins.
Seeing your halo also reminds me: how are halos even made of cloth?
or that fire crown from a dungeon… a cloth item?

The Night Elves have been tweaking the cloth armor… They are using their plucked eyebrows to strengthen it, especially those shoulder plates!
I remember my mage having cloth gear that looked like plate back in Lich King. I hated it then.
The only mog restrictions I think is stupid are the holiday ones. More reasons FFXIV glam system is better, no restrictions. If your class can wear it you can glam it.
can you even call this helmet “plate”?
looks more like flesh tentacles with a thing tied to the front
The SL changes to allow druids to use out of spec artifact forms has me hopeful that we will soon be able to mog out of spec weapon appearances as well. It seems like the right thing to do.
I am wearing a plate mini skirt- beat that
another mog thing is…we dont even have to have most of our set showing now other than pants, I think.
If they can be invisible…cant they look like some other material
honestly this would be a huge plus and the perfect time with Shadowlands really hammering on custimization as a feature. i mean they dont even follow there own rules with npcs, arms warriors using one handers, shadowhunters/elf rangers using leather. i mean the restrictions make it harder to mog, ive literally had to make my character a class i dont care for just so the armor makes sense thematically. would love any class to look how i want without restrictions.
honestly seems blizzard wouldnt mind lifting restrictions but it seems the biggest thing holding them back would be how loot would work. solution: current content u can only get what ur class originally wears. older content everything is lifted and the gear u get from soloing content can be applied to anyone. BOOM done
No, it’s just cloth with a bunch of battle-made nicks and scratches across its shiny, metallic surface. You know, like how cloth normally wears out, without tearing or fraying.
How do you go from sandals to knee boots
Like tin foil?
Free the mogs!
To be honest the only restrictions should be Tier sets and weapon.
