This is to you plate dps classes

I’m a tank. I had no trouble getting my pre-raid BiS. I still want RDF

Use master looter if you have trouble with ninjas. I did this all the time in vanilla. 1 need roll 1 greed roll

Solution

If you invite a plate dps, put it on master looter.

If you’re not tanking you don’t roll on tank gear noob

I would actively avoid grouping with people who do this. Only a drama queen tank would do that and take ALL gear.

I never roll need if the tank needs. But I’ll avoid grouping with paranoids.

It happens to me.
The plate dps loot for the tank sword in Utgarde Pinnacle.

You just can’t trust them.

What kind of mentality is that? “HEY I AM ROLLING ON EVERYTHING CAUSE I CAN USE THE GOLD FOR GEAR ON MY ALTS.” According to you, that makes perfect sense.

No, you roll need on gear that you NEED to do the role you’re doing RIGHT THERE AND THEN.

People like you are the very reason paladins and dk’s never make it in my groups. Especially retnoobs because not only they tend to be idiots, but they tend to be majot loot hoes.

I am prot and holy second. If I decide to go in a group as holy, you can be damn sure I ain’t rolling on jack the tank needs as long as it’s tanking gear.

But with RDF that issue would be a none issue.

If someone has the ability to roll need on something, they’re allowed to do it.

A noob would say that

And that mentality is exactly why plate dps can’t get groups. Thanks.

Nope, them’s the rules. You are not entitled to loot until it is in your bags.

The same could be said about Tanks rolling on DPS gear for “offspec”. Street goes both ways

We both know that while yes, technically you are correct, the long held convention is that tanks get first dibs on tank loot and dps first dibs on dps loot. Same for healers. That is how it has been since 2005 on classic servers. Rolling need on tank loot as a DPS is and has been widely considered to be very rude.

You’re just being contrarian at this point.

Great, glad we established that.

And what about the tank rolling need on a DPS item on someone that is DPS? I’ve seen that happen a lot in the leveling department so that they can “solo quest better”.

But this also depends on, you know, people knowing only rolling on the loot you are playing as in the dungeon. Unless someone says something at the beginning like a paladin tank rolling on DPS gear. Or a kitty druid rolling on healing gear. Most people assume that they are rolling for loot based on how they enter the dungeon. But there’s players that “abuse” this mindset without saying anything because they are already geared and are now looking for their off spec loot. If you are tanking or healing and you roll need on a DPS item that the DPS clearly needed because they didn’t have any better item, you are a dick. MS>OS. Always.

If anything, the classic community is proving to be what I have always thought of it, selfish POS who are not fair.

people act like non RDF gameplay is the pinnacle of social interaction so surely that isn’t hard, right?

Sounds like people are making their own groups however they want.

What’s the problem?

If RDF is implemented it would be hard to stop such cases.
