Idk. I feel like BFA kind of borrowed from GoT themes. So, maybe DF took some inspiration from HotD? It might just be pattern recognition and not much more.

Ya I remember that too.
new dragon prince was kinda a let down tbh. Lowered animation quality aside, the storytelling feels like it took a dip.
I wish Terry wasn’t so… goofy? he kinda brings down the menace of the bad guy group. I guess they needed someone for claudia to bounce off of to remind us that she’s pretty childish, but the fart jokes and the “haha, look slime!” stuff just didn’t do it for me.
also, Ezran is kinda just there. He’s a main character so they had to include him, but it would’ve been interesting to see him stay behind and deal with all the plotting and scheming of the royal court. A massive shift in the world just happened and we’re not seeing the humans perspective, just the sun elves.
speaking of the sun elves, the story they were trying to tell was good, it just didn’t get the screen time it deserved. Amaya being so dismissive of her wife/fiancee’s religion/beliefs and that never really being dealt with was very strange. (as well as the inciting incident feeling a little forced)

anyone can watch and enjoy it for sure, but the target audience is kids.
Googled the show. Its Y7 so yeah. Its a kids show
Y7 was always treated in a similar part of TV PG. Least back for shows when I was a kid.
