The real Jailer is seen in the maw video

this is the real jailer or orginal ( like jailer before the current guy was turned jailer as punishment) that we seen in the concept art, now thinking that the current jailer we see may be imposter.

also note it says Maw boss, either jailers imposter or with the missing heart thing in the jailers chest restored this could be his ultimate form as a raid boss

also note both the Terror by Torchlight story and the pre-shadowlands bfa story sylvanas and Shadowlands content keep mentioning Death as in the enitity named Death (which is not the Jailer) even the Jailer in Shadowlands maw starting scenario mentions ( Death comes for the world soul, necromancers on azeroth say so too) We are going to see actual Death like the God named Death or king reaper named Death)

could be multiple things

  1. the Bald jailer is imposter who took over
  2. bald jailer is the new jailer as his banishment punishment
  3. without the missing heart thing he lost some power and had to resort to getting buff to be of equal value of his wizard form to survive in maw prison ( you notice current jailer’s feet have chains)

also note the original cinematic of sylvanas and the mawsworn in front of the jailer show the concept art version of the jailer

This is a quote from someone who encountered him in the beta:

I have seen the guy… hes somewhat of a boss. I think I got to him in one of the later floors.

He didnt do anything special and just served as a mini boss between floors.
I completed all of the floor on the most left door when you enter thorghast.

Hes appearance is cool… maybe he will do more in the future.

Edit: He did like 1 attack that somewhat hurt, but can be interrupted. Forgot the name of the spell.

This NPC is nobody special.

look at the sylvanas pic, look at the model viewer to rotate him to look under his hood and at his eyes. This model is definately based off the concept jailer but with less flair, how many liches look similar to Kel’thuzad?

They scrapped that appearance for the Jailer because people thought it looked way too much like…
