This is the best expansion in a long time

Not even kidding when I put TWW up there with MoP and Wrath.

I’d put Undermine(d) at around the same level as the Thunder King patch. My hope is that Blizz finishes strong, because this is a contender for my top 3 favorite expansions so far.

I think it’s been pretty good as well- it’s contained some of my favorite bits and mechanics I’ve ever seen in WoW thus far:

-Hallowfall as a zone, probably makes my top 10. The whole light/void cycle, the airships, fishing tourney, it’s all good fun. Zone tech has come a long way. Undermine, too.
-Skyriding for all flying mounts, that was a TWW pre-patch thing.
-PvP Solo queue options for rated, which is great because I can’t always find/make groups.
-“Stay a while and listen” lore moments.
-Goblins

I agree, most fun I’ve had since Legion.
(Wasn’t around from Cata>WoD)

Lucky you. You didn’t miss much.

I keep hearing this when I say that.

Jokes aside though, I’m also told MoP was pretty good. I milked Remix, but that’s obviously not anything like it was aside from the zones/instances.

Remix was awesome. MoP original was 100% an MMO version of Kung Fu Panda. Lots of people called it stuff like Mists of Kung Fu Panda and stuff like that.

In honesty, I didn’t like MoP on its release. It was very grindy and I was in the camp that called it the Kung Fu Panda expansion. It improved some in the Landfall patch, and then The Thunder King patch turned it into a great expansion. Finally, Siege of Orgrimmar remains my favorite patch of all time. So I guess they proved me wrong.

TWW’s been pretty good so far, but still too early to give a final review. (People remember Legion super fondly, but it had some major problems that weren’t properly fixed until 7.3).

Season 2 made it so much better for me. I’m really enjoying it. The new zone is great too!

This. Last patches at least historically are usually make or break. Thankfully, they are usually good. .1 patches in comparison have felt weak lately and this patch isn’t much different for me at least. The raid and environments look great like always but the raid’s mechanics itself leave much to be desired. I genuinely am only interested in 2 of the bosses which is a new low.

It has been a pretty alright expansion.

It’s my opinion that every expansion the gameplay becomes more fun and engaging, the combat design team kills it every time. There are story beats which are kind of meh, but they haven’t done anything completely terrible thus far.

I think TWW would be even more well received if the launch of TWW Season 1 wasn’t as obnoxious as it was and they would just add dinars/bullions to the game permanently.

11.0 was alright. I’m very much enjoying 11.1 save a few things.

Overall, yeah, game is in a pretty good state right now. They’re cooking with some neat ideas and I hope they continue, and it was a good idea to tease just how great the house building system seems to be.

Follower Dungeons from DF, Delves giving us access to the Great Vault & Story Mode Raids giving everyone access to the end of the story make this the number one best expansion ever.

Uhh… lmfao.
Undermine(d) is Undercooke(d)

I’d give it a meh score for now. Delves are ok but overly tedious. The S1 M+ design was nuts. S2 is too far in the other direction. Too many wishy washy decisions.

I’ll save my breath for housing.

TWW is a decent DF patch

Undermine is the best patch in a long time, LoU is the best raid in a long time. LoU blows everything in TWW and DF and SL (yes even Castle Nathria) out of the water. And Delves add a whole new level of play that I really enjoy

Right because any dragonflight patch had 5 whole zones and its own patches

At the very least warrior tanks are fun to play and can actually do content…

Coming from classic WOTLK, they really shafted warrior tanks starting with TBC and made them near unplayable in WOTLK.

Leveling so far has been a blast and reminds me a lot of my leveling experience in TBC classic expansion.
