I have asperger’s. Senses; literal; memory. I played original Cata non-stop as a healer. I’m telling you THIS IS NOT THE SAME GAME. I remember the rhythms of the flashing lights on my eyeballs and with my superior brain.
Cata Classic pvp is dampened ALA retail. The damage is more bursty, the healing is weaker.

A few things to notice:
watch how fast their health goes down when there’s no cooldowns
watch how fast the matches end
ignore the ui and for gods sake turn off the volume
This. Is. Not. Cata. PVP.
Why? Because they want to tune it so every little snot-nose and his brother can get a kill in pvp. Which really SUCKS for the healer doesn’t it? That’s why I subbed is to enjoy real pvp healing again but no.
I noticed this “retail dampening” shortly after Cata. I’ve been complaining ever since and FINALLY I am vindicated.
Queue some 2s as healer/dps and wait until you play another heal/dps.
Had a few 15 minute games already, showing that healing is decently strong compared to dps. 3s is bursty.
Also, who’s to say all the players in these videos have the appropriate amount of resilience? Are you surprised that Bajheera stomps with a team full of r1s playing their placement matches?
and before that it was “resilience is broken”. I don’t buy it. PVP will NEVER look like it used to. We are being acclimated like frogs in boiling water except only the very sensitive and very aware people with superior brains like mine notice.
For years I’ve ve played on both 4.0.1 pservers and 4.3.4 pservers and you can really feel the difference there as well. The 4.3 balancing patch that we’re using in Classic Cata is why S9 feels so different than it did in OG 4.0 cata patch.
I’ve been watching some of my old PvP matches and this is in fact exactly how it was. I was playing Ret/DK in 2’s and just running people down before cooldowns ran out back in 2011.
