doing the elite quest NPCs for incursions when i am randomly sharded away from them when they are around 10-20% hp into a phase where they haven’t been aggroed. What a horrible system.

I hope they fix this soon, endlessly annoying. Sharding is such a flawed feature and it’s ridiculous that it affects people mid combat.

This happened to me the other day. Hope the mage I was tanking for was able to get the kill.
Mid-combat, while standing quietly in one spot…it would be nice to know what triggers it, particularly when it shards me away from the person I’m grouped with.

I’ve had this happen as well. Spend time clearing trash to engage the main target, then midway through the boss fight, the boss disappears and all the trash is back! Not fun! This is probably my biggest issue with BfA.

That’s happened to me maybe two times since the start of BfA, and one of them was because I had a group join pending for the same boss, and it popped.
Pretty ridiculous.
Imo they should spend some time to get this system completely figured and ironed out.
I think it’d make a lot of players happy and get rid of these frustrations that are so common for us.
This thread makes me thankful, I seem to have decent luck with sharding because I havent had much happen beyond nodes disappearing.
Happened to me in Darkshore the other day. Was killing a rare, got phased when it was almost dead and had to run from said mob and 3 adds in the new shard, where they were all full health.

Yea take all the effort to clear surrounding mobs, then blow all CDs on the elite only to have it pulled away for ??? reasons
but i guess changing the whistle sound affect or making mythic keys undeletable was a more important use of their time than improving the function of the sharding that has been broken throughout the entire expansion
maybe i’m being a bit unreasonable here, but i am so sick and tired of being phased mid combat.
phased while questing, phased while farming for mounts, phased while attacking a world boss, it’s insane
i envy your luck and hope you didn’t jinx yourself by saying that phasing hasn’t been bad for you lol

I probably did, the other day I was complaining about RNG and getting zero drops…well…got some drops, sidegrades
